Amazingly, even though most of the useful TV remote features work when using Anynet+ with the ARC HDMI connection (including turning the HW-D550 off), Samsung inexplicably left turning the sound bar on out of the feature set. This has to be one of the dumbest oversights I've ever seen with a product like this. You can use the TV remote to turn on the D550 by going through a ridiculous amount of steps to toggle on and off the "receiver", but it's not feasible to expect "lay" users to do this. HOPEFULLY, SAMSUNG IS LISTENING AND WILL CREATE A FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX THIS! A return is in my near future if they don't.

The previous reviewer stated that there is no intergration between this soundbar and the TV. However, a feature of this soundbar is Anynet+, a samsung-specific feature that allows you to control the soundbar using your television remote. If you connect the television and soundbar using an HDMI cable, you can use this feature. I use it myself on my 50 inch samsung plasma and an older 5.1 samsung surround system.

The system sounds great but lack of integration to the TV means that you have one more remote to deal with. But if you are looking for a small footprint audio system for your TV and you don't care about the second remote then it does have great sound.
