My new GE Profile convection microwave is fantastic! It preforms well and offers great versatility. It is user friendly and it's design/appearance is so contemporary! The Abt salesman and installers were so professional. This appliance purchase was a great addition to my kitchen.

After using it for 14 months I notice a bubbles appear on the handle. When I tried to clean it the stainless came off which really look awful. So I called ABT repair department and told me it will cost me $63 just for the parts. So I think the handle on this microwave can not handle heat from the stove.

And as I read reviews online some have to replace the handle ever 6 months. Which I think is so ridiculous since this is not a cheap microwave

No number buttons leave all time programming to the dial which does 15 second increments while setting and 5 second modifications while running. You get used to setting 15, start, turn dial to make it the 20 seconds you really wanted. Unforgivable is that you have to press "Time Cook" before turning the dial puts time up (and has no function if you don't press Time Cook first). With a software update that put time up at first touch of a dial this would be a truly great product. Abt installed it in place of my previous GE profile unit (from 1996) and it went in quickly and easily.

Thje handle that opens the door is a problem. Itis fragile and can break off.

This microwave/convection oven works very well. Good power and heats evenly. The convection feature is great at heating more evenly than a traditional oven. The only negative is the rotary dial for time setting that only permits time setting in 15 second increments. So if a package says 20 seconds or 65 seconds heating time you have go with less or more than the recommended time.

The installation team was outstanding! They removed our old built-in microwave and installed the new unit all in about 20 minutes and everything was done professionally, the new unit works perfectly and they were very neat. These guys were fantastic.

I purchased this model in August, 2011 and withing weeks the handle (which is plastic painted to look like stainlesss steel) started delaminating as if the heat from the range below was causing it to melt. The service people came out and replaced the handle. After another 6 weeks or so the same thing has started to happen again. I called customer service and the rep I spoke with said that the tech that changed the original handle must have tightened the screws too much causing the paint on the handle to peel. That doesn't make sense to me. I'm not happy and would definetly NOT recommend this microwave hood to anyone.
