Seemed to be the largest washer size (depth) among the stackable options. Well-made product, easy to use with just enough features. Needs a buzzer to remind you when a load is done, but that's a minor issue. If space is an issue, this is a great option. Can still wash/dry very large loads (towels, etc) and up to a queen size comforter easily.

We purchased this unit in early 2012 to replace a previous similar GE unit that happily lasted 12 years. Do not buy this unit (as of 2012). This unit is apparently a relatively new design/redesign as of 2012 and it was badly done. Considering there two obvious flaws in the first couple months I am very concerned about "what's next".The initial flaw (which ABT dealt with well) is the knob immediately broke. Several other people had experienced this (as noted in other reviews) and ABT was aware of the problem and resolved it quickly by getting a replacement knob and later a correctly designed knob to us.The fatal flaw of the unit is the dryer destroys clothes with "small stuff on it". Small buttons, spaghetti straps, draw strings with knots, and similar items catch in the gap inside the dryer door between the spinning tub and the door (in my opinion). This is a theory I seen in other reviews on different sites. I have also seen it proposed the lent trap catches them. I am not sure which is correct, but the end result is the caught item is at best severely abused (twisted round-and-round) and worst case torn. The ABT service man that came out when we reported the problem was unhelpful (which I find uncharacteristic for ABT) leaving my fiance with the suggestion to not to dry things. To be fair, we have not followed up with ABT again on this issue (though we will be).I subsequent search of the internet found other people having the same problem with the dryer. The proposed solution was to use shims to give the unit a slight backward tilt so the clothes are not pushing against the front of the unit when drying and thus less likely to be caught. I have tried this with no improvement.

Easy control, large enough capacity for two people

Unit works well for both wash and dry. Easy to understand and reachable control panel. The washer unit is extremely loud at the rinse and spin cycles. A lot of CLANKING sounds, as the unit operates, and then rests in mid-cycle. I have this unit installed in my dining room in a closet that previously was a pantry and it makes a lot of noise....but that is my only complaint
Love this stack washer dryer. Quiet/Good Quality
from Honolulu, HI
This is a nice quiet, stack washer/dryer. I was surprised how easy to operate, and how quiet it was through wash and dry cycles. The only complaint I have about it, is the dryer door, the top stack, when opened, the door doesn't stay open. It swings back and can hit you in the head. It would be helpful if the hinges stayed "locked" open,..until done loading clothes into the dryer. THEN, easy to shut the dryer door. But this is a very nice stack system I would recommend.
Nice fit for a small place

This unit is great for small space and quite while in use.

Had this for a month and it works well. I am short, 5'1" and I can reach a sock in the back of the dryer. Good buy for me.
Problems started two weeks after I purchased it.
problems started two weeks after purchase in July 2014. Hoping to get it fixed for good.

Works good, but oh so noisy!
from Juneau, AK, United States
I love the compact size of this unit. It does a good job getting the clothes clean and I've noticed that my electric bill has been somewhat reduced thanks to the energy efficient dryer. BUT the spin cycles are extremely loud. We live in a condo and I consciously schedule washes so they won't disturb my neighbor. It should be illegal for an appliance to be this loud. I would recommend the product, but with reservations.
