this refrigerator has let us down from the beginning. The icemaker has been replaced and has now failed for the second time in less than two weeks. Also, the icemaker opening is too wide and it spills ice all over the floor. I called Maytag about the icemaker failing again and the problem with the opening and a "supervisor" told me to "use a large mouth container to get ice" The person offered no help even that it had failed again. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me there was no one else available. He name is "Diana." The refrigerator was purchased August, 2011

This refrigerator has worked out so well for our family of 5. It keeps everything nice & cool and has ample space (even on grocery day). I don't love the design of having the icemaker inside the main frig compartment, but love having ice in the door. The ice cubes are nice & small. You do have to hold your cup just right to avoid missing any ice cubes, but this hasn't been a big deal for us. All in all, the best price I could find (no one else even came close) on a product that is perfect for our needs and is beautiful to boot.

The only way to get ice out of the machine without it falliing on the floor is to use a large wide mouth container and then transfer the ice to a glass. I would not recommend this to a friend.
It seems as though the shoot is not working correctly,we are stuck with a bad prouduct.
I would not have purchased this machine if I had read the other comments.
I am going to try and return this product.

We have had service repair 3 times in less than 1 year,for ice spilling on the floor when we take ice from ice maker,we were told that the icemaker is working fine no repair needed.As far as the ice falling on the floor there is nothing that will be done about it. IT seems as thuogh the shoot is not working correctly,we are stuck with a bad prouduct.
