I bought this to hook up to my Panasonic Blue-Ray and TV. Skype did not have video. Took 3 days calling Panasonic and then Samsung to try to get a fix. They kinow there is a problem but instead of sending you a Webcam that works you have to keep after them with promises of e-mail and call backs that do not happen. Finally after days of calling I got a fix but the quality and video is not good. Would not reccomend and after the customer service will not go to Panasonic again

I purchased the combination of the BDT110 BluRay Player and the Talk 7181 camera. The camera picks up audio but no video. I later discovered that this is a widespread problem:http://community.skype.com/t5/Video/Panasonic-BDT210-and-Freetalk-TALK-7181-no-video-output/td-p/365935It's possible that a firmware update will fix the problem, but customer support has provided no help.

I bought this to work with my Panasonic Blu-Ray which included Skype - this was the simpliest thing I ever hooked up. I already had a Skype account (would have been hard to do using remote from the Blu-Ray) and basically plugged it in to the Blu Ray, clicked on Skype and that was that. Worked great, people at other end of the Skype thought my images were extremely HD and the auto focus worked flawlessly.

Panasonic gave Abt erroneous information regarding the compatibility of this HD camera for Panasonic TVs. In reality, this HD camera will only work with 2011 Panasonic TVs, but NOT for the 2010 models. I didn't find this out until I got the camera in the mail and attempted to get it to work with my Panasonic plasma TV. When I called Panasonic's customer service department, they were adamant that this camera would work and that it was in fact the only replacement for their own Panasonic brand camera, which was discontinued and is no longer available. Frustrated with Panasonic's response[...] the FreeTalk HD camera will only work with 2011 models. It's a problem that Panasonic is aware of, but so far they have not decided what to do for those customers that own 2010 models. They're actually contemplating bringing back their own Panasonic brand camera for customers who 2010 Panasonic TVs. It sure would be nice if Panasonic's own customer service representatives were made aware of this information. [...] Panasonic should take a lesson [...] regarding "customer service" and "the importance of disseminating accurate information" for customers.
