We couldn't be happier with this Microwave. That being said because this microwave has a convection oven component you really need to read the manual and understand how it works. If all you do is microwave things to reheat them this is likely overkill for you. However if you read the manual and take advantage of the features that the convection feature and the sensor cooking/reheating give you you will love this microwave. I will admit there was a slight learning curve but once you learn how to use it the microwave will exceed your expectations. As far as downsides you will see 2 complaints. First the control panel can be hard to read if your kitchen is not really well lit. That can be a slight issue. The other issue some people complain about is that the window will fog up when microwaving things. This does happen, however once you read the manual and understand you have a microwave and a small oven you realize there is a good reason for this. First the sensor cook/reheat uses a sensor that measures the amount moisture released to know when the food is hot. Additionally, being a convection oven it needs to be sealed to keep the heat from escaping. This is a feature not an issue. All in all if you want/need the extra features and take the time to learn how to use them you will love this microwave.

I have always, as my parents did, bought Frigidaire appliances in our 55 years of marriage, and been very satisfied. Now, however, I have 4 top-of-the-line new Frigidaire stainless steel appliances in my newly-remodeled kitchen, and am highly disappointed. The biggest problem is with the microwave/convection oven, which I have been told cannot be remedied. The small print of the lettering on the keypad need to be read with a flashlight in hand by everyone, young and old. Completely ridiculous for one of your best models. There is no backlight, to make the selections readable, disappointing as the microwave was expensive. My friends and family just shake their heads when I show them my new kitchen and they note the problem with the keypad of a brand-new appliance. My French-door refrigerator had the ice cube mechanism freeze up and needed to have new insulation gaskets installed. Also, I was not told that in order for the dishwasher to work properly, the tank holding the "Finish" liquid had to be kept at a high level. When my kitchen remodeling was finished in Oct. of 2014, I left my home in Nov., 2014 to spend the winter in FL, and after a six-month absence, resumed using my new kitchen and appliances in May, 2015. Over this summer I have come to be aware of the difficulty using the microwave. What can Frigidaire do to make a loyal long-time customer feel satisfied with my purchases?

Comments about Frigidaire Gallery White Over-The-Range Microwave:
Bought the Gallery package 6 months ago of gas stove , microwave and dishwasher as part of new home purchase and upgraded each item. The fan for the exhaust is not powerful enough to vent steam from burners of stove. As a result my kitchen cabinets are being discolored and removing the finish on the cabinets. The metal knob on the cabinet even becomes too hot to touch. The openings of the exhaust under the microwave don't even reach out to backburners of stove.

I have never used a convection/microwave combo. I was nervous because I love to bake. I'm so impressed I have baked bread, biscuits, cakes as well as casseroles and meats!!!
