I use the dishwasher daily and sometimes 2 times a day. I found that it is a little bit smaller than my last Bosch, but still big enough. It is a bit harder to load as there are a lot of smaller brackets that I do not like ie: only have one place to put larger dishes. I do however love that the silverware holder is on the side.

My Bosch came with a broken on/off switch -- stuck in the "on" mode (so at least I can use it). It is taking about a week and a half to get a warranty repair man from Bosch -- seems to me they need to hire some people! He's supposed to be here tomorrow. This is replacing an LG that stopped working and was giving a failure code supposedly related to the motor. I tore it apart enough to check for broken wires, loose connections, and such, but to no avail. It was going to cost about 1/3 of the machine's value just to get a repair person to come. The highest-rated Yelp repair people would not work on LG -- not good news in my opinion. Having the two side by side was informative. The LG seemed to be of heavier construction, but probably more complicated. The LG was quieter, but they are both pretty quiet. The LG leaked a little bit around the bottom of the door -- problem seems common and unfixable. The LG was bigger in every dimension, but especially it went several inches farther back under the counter. This might be the reason the LG did not have to be screw-mounted to keep from tipping forward when the door was opened. The Bosch has to be mounted to cabinets or it will tip forward when the door is opened. The Bosch is narrower, shorter, and especially shallower than the LG was, though the LG fit easily into the 24-1/2" wide space normal in cabinet installation. The Bosch seems to clean better, but is much less flexible in loading and holds less. The racks are not as heavy and on the model I bought have no adjustable tines. The LG was top of their line, while this Bosch is mid-range of their line, though the price for the best LG only buys about a middling Bosch. I only ran the old dishwasher about once a week. I expect to have to run this one about every 4 days -- it just doesn't hold as much.Assuming the switch gets fixed at no cost to me, this will serve my purposes. If I had a lot of dishes/big family, I would probably be dissatisfied with its capacity.I got the feeling that the Koreans are working really hard to make a better machine, but have probably over-complicated the design, opening themselves to more chances to go wrong. In a few years they will probably get the kinks worked out and be the better machine. I chose the Bosch over a very highly rated Samsung just out of fear of another Korean machine. Probably should have taken the chance on the Samsung.

About Me Once-twice a week user
Comments about Bosch 24" Ascenta Series White Built-In Dishwasher:
Nothing to rave about or complain about. The finishes are a bit cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. I would spring for a few extra hundred next time and get an upgrade.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Washing, difficult to load
from chicago, IL
About Me Every day user
This dishwasher washes great, everything seems to come clean every time. I will agree with other reviewers, it is difficult to load in that the peg configuration on the bottom rack is such that everything has to be placed a certain way and only certain things will fit on the bottom rack, additionally, the wire framing for the bottom rack has large spaces, so some items would fall through that otherwise would not on other dishwashers. The bottom rack is not in a track, it free wheels between grooves in wash tub and a groove in the door, when the door is open, so when you pull the bottom rack, you have to pull it evenly, or you'll pull it off the 'track'.

About Me Casual Cook
Just as pictured and described. It is indeed smaller than you would expect as other reviewers stated. The top shelf does not easily accommodate wine glasses and the bottom shelf comes off the track if pulled out for easier loading. It runs very quietly and efficiently and I hope the quality will ensure its longevity. My initial impression is it's a good product for the price.
Easy installation and fast delivery

About Me Every day user, Heavy duty user/large household
We have a big household and have always had 2 dishwashers next to the kitchen sink. Our original Bosch Integras lasted 12 years without a single failure. When one finally failed, it was time to replace them both. ABT was a great source of information and they helped me choose the right replacement. Their prices were fair and they delivered a full week ahead of expected delivery. The installation for both machines was less than an hour because we were simply replacing older Boschs. It couldn't have been any simpler.
Dont spend the money!
from Chicago land area
This is our 2nd Bosch dishwasher. Our 1st one we LOVED-LOVED and got more than 10 years out of it! This 2nd one is not great...not even good. The baskets and racks are all redesigned and not convenient...also, it does not clean well. We have to rewash dishes/glasses regularly. You for sure have to rinse and scrap everything before hand. spend your money on a different make....not good!
Bosch 24" Ascenta
I have the owned the precursor to this dishwasher and have found the series to be extremely reliable. I wash about 3-4x per week and have had no problems except when the unit is about to give out. It should last about 7-8 years.

Don't be afraid!
from Chicago, IL
When my 11-year old Bosch decided on its own to retire, I started looking on Abt's website for a replacement. (After nothing but good experiences I would never think of going to any other source for an appliance) However, I admit I was alarmed to read a very negative review of this model. Nonetheless, I was intent on getting another Bosch and this is the perfect model for me: versatile but not fully-loaded with features I don't need and, thus, at a friendly price-point. I called Abt and spoke with a store rep who allayed my fearsby answering my questions in detail. Now that the new Bosch and I have had 3 weeks together, I can report with delight that we are both extremely happy.
