After one week of use I can not imagine washing with another brand of dishwasher. The GE that this replaced sounded like a Jet Engine in comparison, The first cycle I had to open it to make sure it was running. My glasses come out sparkling and so clean. I can see why Consumer Reports rates BOSCH as the best for cleaning!

I was really excited to to get a new dishwasher, but this one is a complete disappointment. I've had this alleged "dishwasher" for 2 months and I am ready for a new one. Right off the bat with the FIRST wash there was black crud left on silverware and some bowls & plates that looked and smelled like mold. Even using the recommended detergent & rinse aid, the strongest wash option & sanitize option, and a service visit from a Bosch tech did not help. It can't even clean a cup that had tea in it, tea stains remain in the mug. Food is left stuck on silverware. Loading is awkward at best. Taller cups fall over onto their side when you pull the rack in or out because the tines aren't tall enough. My plates have a 1/4+ inch lip around them so they don't fit well into the very narrowly spaced tines meant for plates. You must have completely flat and thin plates in order for them to fit properly. It is beyond my comprehension how this could have been a top pick by the leading consumer magazine. I WISH I had my old Kenmore back. I cannot caution you enough, please don't waste your money on this.

I bought this unit to replace the 19 year old Bosch dishwasher we had when we remodeled our kitchen. Bosch manufactures a very fine product. I loved the old one and replaced it only because the old model wouldn't fit in the new kitchen sizewise or colorwise. The new unit is also a fine product. Whisper quiet and really gets the dishes clean. My only complaint is that they redesigned the racks and the design is a very poor one. Difficult to efficiently load. However, still a good unit and I'd recommend Bosch products to anyone who asks.

So far this unit is working well for us. I've had bad luck with Kitchenaide and GE DWs so hoping for better luck. The unit is quieter than past units and cleans well. The controls are a little convoluted but I don't need the unit to do more than general washing so it's not a problem.

The controls are hidden when door is closed. Except for low decibel chime at who cycle conclusion, there is no indicator when door should be opened after heating element has dried the dishes. Hence, it is a good choice to start around midnight and empty the next morning.

So far this is the best dishwasher I've had the pleasure of using. It's very quiet, it's easy to configure the load, and it cleans everything very throughly.
