I purchased my first unit about 8 months ago and use it daily. I move it to all three floors of my home, but use it on the main floor daily. This durability test convinced me to buy two more units (1 per floor) to clean carpet, wood, and tile floors of daily human and pet (2 dogs) traffic. It does a fantastic job. I bought extra light houses to aid in maneuvering. The only caveats I've found are 1) it sometimes doesn't make it back to the charger before losing full charge and 2) it gets stuck under some furniture I have with varying elevations on the bottom. You need to pick up some big items like laundry, shoe laces, buttons, small paper pieces, etc. as it will pick them up or at least try. I've found a package of buttons from a new coat in one of my units recently, still intact but dusty. These work great and I have had no problem with any of them so far. The two newest ones are about 1 month old. Highly recommended for pet hair. Program them for middle of the night or early evening and let them go. Run daily and the house dirt drops consirably over time. When I first started using them, the bins would fill up each time; now that I have been using them daily for some time, the bins are not even half full. The brush and roll on the bottom need frequent (I recommend daily or every two days) cleaning as lint, strings from carpet, etc. will build up in them and I suspect will cause them to not be as efficient at cleaning. Its not too difficult to clean them, I recommend a good pair of scissors. The brush that comes with them is ok, but after some time (5-6 months of daily use) I finally just replaced my brush and roller. You can't go wrong with this model or similar ones I suspect.

Huge time saver. I programed my Roomba to clean three days a week. I was doing it myself three days a week. The roomba gets into places I can't reach with a standard vacuum cleaner.

Easy to move from room to room. Very long battery charge with short charging time. Put it in the room and come back 25 minutes later and it ready to do another room. Can leave the room as is and it'll go around chairs, bed posts, cords, dressers, etc.

love this. been looking for a while and now i have it should have never waited! i have 2 cats and vacuumed once a week, when i let this thing loose i could not belive how much more it was picking up. been emptying it after every use but at after a couple of weeks i noticed it must be catching up because it is not as full. easy to carry floor to floor and push a button and let it go. do use the bin with the vacuum built in and that seems to help pick up more dust. also clean around the brushes alot but it is still better than pushing a vacuum cleaner. may be a little pricer than other models but it came with alot of accessories that i will not have to buy for a while.

I have dogs and use my Roomba daily. I have primarily hard wood floors however I do have rug runners which to my delight vacuum up great with the roomba. I like the fact that I dont have to move any of my furniture because the roomba goes under, in between and every which way to clean under tables, chairs, along the base boards, etc. The only minor set back is the fact that the brushes have to be cleaned frequently, however it is really easy to clean them and pop them back in.

I had to call Customer Service with a question,it was Sunday and I left a message on the Customer Service Voice mail figuring I wouldn't get a call back until Monday. To my surprise and delight a few hours later I received a call back from the customer service rep who was very nice and helpful.

We have two large, furry dogs. The roller gets clogged very quickly and causes the unit to act up. The bin also fills up quickly, but is easy to empty. Struggles with a transition from wood floor to carpet. Have only had a couple of weeks so we'll see if it gets better.
