I have owned and been very, very pleased with all of my Maytag appliances for the past 30+ years. When my 28yr old Maytag washer "died" I didn't think twice about which brand I would replace it with! This is the first "high-efficiency" washer for me and, quite frankly, I am not as pleased with it as I thought I would be. It does get the clothes clean! I can't deny that. Which amazed me, with the amount of water is uses (doesn't use). When I first got the machine my daughter and I opened the lid, just to look, and there was barely enough to cover the items in the load. Our standing joke was; let's go put a load in so it can "spit" on it! lol :) What I don't like about it (true of most makes and models of the new high-efficiency, agitator-less, machines)is that it takes too many of the washing "decisions" out of my hands! I want warm wash, cold rinse... nope, can't do that. I want to dampen a piece of clothing to pre-treat, nope, no water until AFTER the lid is locked. I also don't like that I can't butt my washer up to my dryer like I used to. The installer said that the washer might "move" some and it would end up scratching the sides of the machines. If the load gets out of balance, the washer "walks"... All of this being said, would I still buy a Maytag, absolutely!!

I bought this in early May. The washer was recommended by two friends of my wife's. While the washer is almost silent during operation, it's main goal of washing clothes doesn't usually occur. I have several pieces of clothing that I don't put in the dryer, and because this washer uses so little water, often times my clothes come out of the washer completely covered in lint. I then have to put them through another cycle of just rinsing for them to come out clean. My second issue is that if you have any true dirt or other messes on your clothing, prepare for multiple washes. I was out for a walk with my daughter and I didn't have any tissues with me. When she sneezed, I used my shirt to wipe her nose. When I got home, I put my shirt in the wash with other clothes for a normal wash. Took the shirt out and it was one of the ones I hang dry. Low and behold, once the shirt was dry, it looked like I never washed it. Oh, and prepare for wrinkles. Clothes come out of this washer looking like they'be been balled up for a long time. Using a dryer takes the wrinkles out, but if you plan on hanging something out to dry, prepare for a very wrinkled shirt.A third issue I have is that sometimes, your clothes don't get washed at all. More often than not, when I'm taking clothes out of the washing machine, some parts of a shirt are wet, other parts are dry. I've gotten to the point of using the deep water cycle to ensure that my clothes actually get wet enough to get washed. And my last issue with the washer is that it moves all over the place. We had the washer installed by the appliance store that we purchased it from, and they checked and rechecked that it was level. But no matter how hard you try to put your clothes in evenly, the machine has a good 6-8" of movement across the floor. My wife and I have had to move the washer back into place on multiple occasions.

Bought matching washer that goes with dryer. Not sure same
from Macomb michigan
This takes way too long to do a small load of clothes. I washed 3 work t-shirts and 2 pair of pants. The pants come out all spotty and have had to rewash numerous times. Over an hour is way too long.

Bought our washer a month ago and I couldn't be happier!

I do not like the following:1. How long the wash cycles take. Who has all day to spend with multiple loads.2.the little amount of water used for the wash. A powdery residue is left on dark clothes...in creases. I use liquid detergent(the kind that is prescribed)3. The extreme wringing of the clothes.
Needed washer replacement
from Breaux Bridge, La. 70517
Old washer had an oil leak and I decided to replace rather than fix. The old one was rather noisy, so I researched the Maytag and chose the Bravos. My wife and I both do the laundry but since the new purchase she seems to have taken over the washing. She tells me that she loves her new washer, which makes me glad that I made the purchase. Thank you Maytag for making my life easier!!

This is the worst washer I have ever had. I have already had the service out because it was so noisy. My clothes do not get clean no matter how large or small the load. It doesn't matter the degree of stain or dirt on the fabric. I have to prewash everything with the slightest stain or dirt or it won't come clean. This uses more water and effort for me.
Washer is new style and cleans well

We purchased this 2 months ago. It is cleaning well despite the remove of the center spindle. It did make new noises that will make you think that you didn't remove a shipping screw. It is normal and tells you that in the instructions (should have read that before freaking out). We love everything about the washer.
More a computer than a washing machine.

It took a while to learn how to use this washer but I love it! I had trouble with sheets the first few times I used it, but now I just throw in a couple towels with the sheets and it works great. HUGE tub. I gone from washing every other day to every third day.

The top is slanted. Can't put anything on it. Whoever designed this and the dryer never did laundry. Also, the soap doesn't rinse out properly.
