Comments about Maytag Bravos Lunar Silver Top Load Washer:
I have just completed my 20th wash, and really like this washer and its features. Still learning how to more effectively use them all. Hope this lasts as long as my old GE did - 30 years!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this less than 3 months ago and it has NEVER worked correctly - I would give it away in a second if I could afford such an action .
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Sorry we bought it

Don't know where to start. EXTREMELY NOISY. Walks across the floor. Filled half full, some of the clothes never wet. Cycles extremely long. Doesn't wash out soap...have to double rinse, despite using prescribed amount of detergent. Already had repair man out after first load...couldn't believe this is the way it is supposed to sound, function, etc. Wish we had our Kenmore back!
Not as pleased as I thought I would be.

I have owned and been very, very pleased with all of my Maytag appliances for the past 30+ years. When my 28yr old Maytag washer "died" I didn't think twice about which brand I would replace it with! This is the first "high-efficiency" washer for me and, quite frankly, I am not as pleased with it as I thought I would be. It does get the clothes clean! I can't deny that. Which amazed me, with the amount of water is uses (doesn't use). When I first got the machine my daughter and I opened the lid, just to look, and there was barely enough to cover the items in the load. Our standing joke was; let's go put a load in so it can "spit" on it! lol :) What I don't like about it (true of most makes and models of the new high-efficiency, agitator-less, machines)is that it takes too many of the washing "decisions" out of my hands! I want warm wash, cold rinse... nope, can't do that. I want to dampen a piece of clothing to pre-treat, nope, no water until AFTER the lid is locked. I also don't like that I can't butt my washer up to my dryer like I used to. The installer said that the washer might "move" some and it would end up scratching the sides of the machines. If the load gets out of balance, the washer "walks"... All of this being said, would I still buy a Maytag, absolutely!!
I Love my Maytag Washer and Dryer!

I am so happy with my Maytag washer and dryer! My clothes are very clean, and I love how the dryer senses when they are dry. The washer holds a lot of laundry. The best washer and dryer I have ever owned!
Back to Maytag for me!

When I downsized from a large house to a small apartment, I downsized to a stacked washer/dryer, not Maytag. 10 years later, I realized I had NEVER been happy with what I purchased. Investing in new Maytag laundry equipment was a wonderful decision. it's "idiot-proof" which I need! Their performance is wonderful and their efficiency is important as a senior on fixed income. I heartily recommend Maytag to my friends and family, and I am the voice of experience.
