SAFE Remarkable Induction cooking technology warms only the food and pan - not the cooking surface! There are no open flames or heating elements, so the glass surface remains cool to the touch and is easy to clean.
EFFICIENT Considered one the most eco-friendly appliances for its efficiency, induction cooktops use 90% of the energy produced. The energy produced by the cooktop is directly supplied to the cooking vessel by a magnetic field. Self-adjusting burners detect the size of the cookware base and automatically adjust so that very little energy is wasted.
FUNCTIONAL The display panel now features a chart that relates 10 cooking levels to temperature and to 5 standard cooking functions. Power level 1- 140°F (Melt), 2 - 160°F (Warm), 3 - 180°F, 4 - 210°F (Boil), 5 - 250°F, 6 - 290°F, 7 - 320°F, 8 - 360°F (Fry), 9 - 390°F ( Sear), 10 - 430°F.

tested on my glass top stove and this with 1 quart pots filled with two cups water. found this one took two minutes to boil and the other took over four.

Comments about Fagor Black Induction Cooktop Burner:

I love this cooktop. Brings 2 cups of tea water to a full boil quicker than a microwave....actually.... I do not want to microwave ANYTHING! What used to take 15 minutes to boil on my electric stove, takes less than 5 minutes with induction. Haven't used my electric stove since receiving this. The only drawback is when I may be sauteing onions, it reaches the temp set on the control panel and it seems to cut back the power. I have to increase the number to resume the active cooking. Don't quite understand this phenomena but have learned to increase the number on the front of the cooktop. Pros outweigh the cons by a huge factor. Have recommended it to everyone. I can be enjoying my tea with induction cooking before my electric stove brought the water to a boil! Did I say that I love it????
