Good intro to induction
from Chicago, Illinois
Comments about Fagor Black Induction Cooktop Burner:
We got this to see how we like induction cooking. Turns out we love induction, so we will make the plunge on a full cooktop. We will keep the unit for a backup burner to use on holidays or outside during the summer grilling season. It is great in our small temporary kitchen. No added cooking heat is a bonus if you don't have A/C in August. This unit is a little noisy - kind of like a loud microwave. There are 10 heat levels & we keep toggling between 4 and 5 for general simmer cooking (oatmeal, rice). 4 is too low, 5 is too high. Very minor drawbacks.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Casual Cook
This product is great. Very easy to clean and cooks food wonderfully. Boils water in the mater of minutes. Great for small spaces. The only drawback would be the noise level when it's running. Other than that its efficient.

Curious About Induction Cooking
By Gal from Kalamazoo
Handy when burners are full on my electric stove. I find it to be safe, economical, and easy to clean. Nice that you can set time and temperature. Great for making tea.I don't worry about setting it on my countertop, it only heats up the pan,the rest stays cool. This was a good way to see how I'd like induction cooking. My next stove will be induction.

Fagor Induction Cooktop
from Jeffersonville, IN
I love this cooktop. Brings 2 cups of tea water to a full boil quicker than a microwave....actually.... I do not want to microwave ANYTHING! What used to take 15 minutes to boil on my electric stove, takes less than 5 minutes with induction. Haven't used my electric stove since receiving this. The only drawback is when I may be sauteing onions, it reaches the temp set on the control panel and it seems to cut back the power. I have to increase the number to resume the active cooking. Don't quite understand this phenomena but have learned to increase the number on the front of the cooktop. Pros outweigh the cons by a huge factor. Have recommended it to everyone. I can be enjoying my tea with induction cooking before my electric stove brought the water to a boil! Did I say that I love it????
A great value and it does the job well
This Induction Cooktop works as advertised. It continues to amaze me.
