I had one of those long range expensive 900Mhz phones where each extension cost $350. I needed another extension and said there has to be a better way. I found a better way with Panasonic's Dect 6.0 Plus KX-TGA652 handsets. They work very good to 200 feet, but after going through two walls, I got a little breakup. A friend said try KX-TGA405B range extender. I ordered one from ABT and had it in no time. It has two LEDs, one for power and one for signal strength. I placed it in the garage and found a spot where it went from red to yellow to a green light (strong signal). Now I have crystal clear reception and the person on the other end can "hear me now". I use a VoIP service and this complete Panasonic telephone system works perfect.

Seemns to interfere with speakerphone quality. Have tried multiple locations to no avail.

We have a large, spread out house. Our 5 Panasonic
phones are widely scattered throughout the home.
We could always call out, but receiving calls was
hit or miss before the range extender. It has
improved greatly and was well worth the little
extra money that it cost.

I have read the reviews about setting this unit up, honestly it took me longer to get it out of the package. But I did my research so I was pretty much ready to activate it as soon as it was delivered. I have a two story farm house with and addition. I have yet to find a phone that would let me go out to my garage in any weather condition and make and recieve calls. I ordered this unit put it up in the attic and I can now reach my backyard. Talking in the garage has never been easier. My garage is approximatley 90' from this unit and another 60 to the home base. I can now make and receive calls. This unit is well worth the money Thanks
