We like the quietness of this unit. The little racks that separate the silverware are too small to accomodate our silver which has a flare to the ends which makes the separaters almost useless. We have only had our unit 3 months and the handle is already getting loose. They do send you an extra screw and small allen wrench but you have to lay down on the floor on your back to see how to get the wrench lined up into the screw to tighten it. We should not have this problem to begin with. It is poor design / engineering. A NORMAL wash cycle takes an hour and a half, which seems a bit long. We have had dishes come out still soiled at the end of the wash cycle. A feature that we miss is being able to [see] what stage the wash cycle is at. With this unit you can not tell.

I like this dishwasher... It looks nice and does a great job cleaning... My only complaints are that it doesn't have a traditional latch (minor complaint most people would care less about) and that it is quiet, but not silent like many of the new dishwasher out there... But, they are a bit more money.

Its pretty easy to use and it doesnt sound like a train is rolling through the kitchen when its on in the middle of the day. It could still be a little quiter but its a big leap from a conventional dish washer.

let me just say, I returned this and went with a different whirlpool. the "sensor" made it run for 8 hours and I finally shut it down. nothing was clean. when I called to ask what was going on, they told me I had to turn the hot water on in my sink and let it run because the water wasn't getting hot enough for the sensor. Can you imagine, running your hot water every time you want to use your dishwasher? like I said, what a joke.

It offers a lot of space and comes with several washing preferences such as eco, light, heavy, and normal. It also has a sensor wash option when you're not sure what to choose. It also has a sanitize option.

This is the second Whirlpool dishwasher we have owned. The first lasted 17 years so we were definitely pleased with Whirlpool's quality. We went with this particular model because of the number wash options plus the additional jets on the top. We knew because of the plastic tub it wouldn't be as quiet as the model with the metal tub, but to our surprise, it was very quiet. My biggest and only real complaint is that the clearance between the bottom rack and the silverware rack (when the door is down and the bottom dish rack is rolled out). Sometimes the silverware gets caught on the bottom dish rack when you push it back in to close the door. Overall at great product for the price.

We have had this dw for 2 months. I am very happy with the clean dishes that come out. I have not used the silverware rack on the door option yet. Dishes, for the most part, come out dry enough to put away. I usually run it at night so the sound level does not bother us. Easy to clean fingerprints and water spots on the front panel.

Dishwasher looks great and cleans dishes well, just as I would expect it to. It is super-quiet -- our kitchen is open to a large great room with hardwoods throughout -- a room where sounds tend to travel. However, we really cannot even hear this dishwasher when it is running, so it is far better than any dishwasher I've had before! I also really appreciate the "1 hour" cycle -- it is so nice to have clean dishes so quickly! Loading is generally fine -- I have kind of bulky dishes so the fit is never perfect -- but it is certainly workable. My only real issue is the narrow little silverware basket (narrow to optionally fit in the door). Large spoons & spatulas simply do not fit in the basket. Smaller spoons seem to fall into holes between the basket compartments & get stuck. Because I would never put the silverware basket in the door -- I really would prefer a standard-sized basket.

This dishwasher is very quiet while running any cycle. Also, easy load for utensils, flatware, etc. Although this is my first time to own a Whirlpool dishwasher, I would highly recommend it!

This unit is the most quiet I've ever experienced with a dishwasher. I've had to check several time to make sure its runnng. Dishes come out sparkeling clean and never had any issues.
