Unfortunately the height of the opening where the dishwasher is installed in our house is short so we were limited to only a couple of dishwashers. We decided to go with the Whirlpool Gold Stainless Steel Built-In Dishwasher. It took us a few tries before we were able to find the right combination of wash and dry cycle along with dishwasher detergent. The energy efficient setting (Eco) for drying does not do a good job at all. The dishes and tub do not dry completely as a result. We used the High setting and it dries thoroughly. We rinse the majority of food off before we put it in the dishwasher. Therefore we only need to use the Eco setting for washing the dishes. The dishwasher looks great, runs quite and cleans great if you don't try to jam all your silverware into that one little anywhere basket.

There are just two of us so we wash dishes every other day. It is very quiet. Doesn't clean as well as the 14 year old Whirlpool we replaced (and we rinse dishes well before putting in the dishwasher, but I left just a little residue to test its cleaning). The silverware basket gets attached to the door. If you leave it attached, it is hard to put the silverware in the left side because the soap dispenser is in the way. After the cycle, the dishes were wet. Checked the troubleshooting guide; said it needs rinse agent. I had put rinse agent in the day before, but after one wash and half a bottle of rinse agent the dispenser was empty. Now I put just enough rinse agent to fill the dispenser opening (but you don't see it in space where you should see how much is left). That seems to work if you get the dishes out shortly after machine shuts off. If you wait overnight to open the door, there is so much condensation that the dishes are wet and you can feel the moisture. After leaving the door open for several hours, there is still condensation. Never had any of these issues with the old builder's model. Haven't complained to the store, because the problem when purchasing was finding a dishwasher that would fit in a 34.5" height opening.

Horrible Dishwasher Dont Buy!!

Horrible product. This thing leaked so bad it ruined my kitchen floors, which I had to replace. I'm done with Whirlpool. This dishwasher is 2 years old in a new home when installed.

Don't buy a whirlpool.

This dishwasher is simply not what you would expect for the money. Save your money and buy a cheaper dishwasher. The silverware does not get clean, the top rack is to low even in the highest position, and the upper rack runners constantly break. This is the third time I have to replace them and it's probably a 1 dollar part but it cost 25 bucks plus shipping to replace. OMG

The motor died on our dishwasher right after one year was up. For the one year it worked, it was amazing. However, when I purchase an expensive dishwasher with a stainless tub, I expect to get 5 years out of it, not one. I can purchase a $200 dishwasher and get one year out of it. I will never purchase another whirlpool.

So quiet. Hardly know its running. Dishes come out sparkling clean. Saves energy. Saves water. Best dishwasher I ever had.

the electronic control board went out on this appliance in 15 months. The repair was $400. When purchasing a high end dishwasher I would expect it to last longer than a year and 3 months.

our family likes the appliances of whirlpool brand very much; unfortunately, this dishwasher didn't have good pump , right now, is waiting for the replacement from warranty. but at least customer service very helpful, handling very efficiently to book the appointment for the technician to fix it

This dishwasher is so quiet that I have opened it multiple times while it was running. Cleans the dishes well. Works great as long as you use the rinse additive.
The older one in our other house was much better made than t

I like the looks of the stainless steel interior. The plastic utensil rack and dish racks in the dishwasher are very flimsy/cheap. My older model had a "glass express" option which I used a lot. We asked about this option when purchasing our new dishwasher, but were told it is no longer available. If I recommended this product, I would let them know about the flimsy, plastic racks.
