We bought this Dishwasher based on reviews, Electricity/Water savings and color was nice. HOWEVER, from the very beginning, it has been nothing but frustration. Silverware holder holds less than my old dishwasher, not to mention that they do not all get clean (yes, they are put in properly, and not jammed, as well as pre-rinsed) and some fall down laying flat inside the holder. We have tried both positions for the silverware holder. Door position is seriously not helpful, but more of a pain. Inside is much smaller, and can only load limited items...ANOTHER WASTE. have to run again. You MUST use the Rinse-Aid or it won't dry properly, and in fact, does not clean as well if not added. We in fact have soft water as well, so this shouldn't be required at all as far as cleaning. We also do not shove items in, nor load dried on foods. Here's the rub: Purchasing for $$ savings, BUT paying more than running a much older molder that cleaned better, and didn't require pre-rinsing, nor rinse aid. We wind up HAND WASHING our dishes First, and then putting in this dishwasher or forgo it altogether, so essentially we are using (paying extra) water and soap BEFORE loading and then running (using More electricity, More soap, more $$) or just wash by hand and be done with it. This is a Hit or Miss piece of expensive equipment. I do not care about noise level, I believe most would agree that functioning properly after spending hard earned $$ is most important This is an VERY EXPENSIVE Dishwasher to own. What a huge waste of our hard earned $$$. I cannot recommend this to anyone, nor will I rush out to look at any Whirlpool Products.

Whirlpool Gold series with powerscour option

Comments about Whirlpool Stainless Built-In Dishwasher:
I just love my new dishwasher! We had a whirlpool before which I loved because of the adjustable top shelf. So, when that one died I looked at a lot of dishwashers but came back to Whirlpool because of the shelf and what I got for the $$! Love it and is so quiet!!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great features, Can't tell it's running it so quite.

Bought this a couple of months ago and wish I had bought it sooner. Excellent cleaning dishes, love the power scrubber option. Can't tell this machine is even running without putting your ear to it. Only problem we have had is the upper rack retainers had to be replaced. The drawer would pull off the track. But the new retainers are made better and snap in securely.

Comments about Whirlpool White Built-In Dishwasher:
This thing is quiet. I ran it empty the first time to make sure I installed it correctly and had to keep checking that it was actually on because I couldn't hear it. That said I installed it myself (really handy) and I would reccomend that 95% of the people hire someone to install.
Service and delivery comments:
Thank gawd for Abt. We have had appliances delivered from different retailers who sub out the final delivery. Not with Abt. Took responsibility for everything.
Cleans well but smaller than expected

Looked great in the store but the first time I started to load my large and small plates it only held about two thirds of what my last dishwasher was able to accommodate. Additionally I am unable to load my larger cutting boards as it lacks interior height. The spoons are always getting stuck in the basket which is constructed very poorly. I do believe, however that it cleans extremely well.
Service and delivery were excellent, as always. It's why we keep coming back to ABT.
Some great features

I really like the quiet efficient dishwasher. My only concern is the silverware basket does not allow the space for my silverware, the slots are not big enough, except for the back slots.
RUNS AND MAKES JUST A WISPER
By Jon H
QUIET - VERY EASY TO FORGET IT IS RUNNING- CLEANS GOOD. So that was the good, as one of the better models it has some issues. The silverware holder is a joke, both in design and location. The clips that hold the silverware basket on the front of the rack are sturdy enough and the basket never stays "hooked" on. The alternate location on the inside of the door is a little better but bottom rack needs pushed in to load/unload - or you need to take the basket on and off the door. The top and bottom racks are not made heavy enough and the adjustable parts are not very useful.

This dishwasher replaced a KitchenAid which had worked flawlessly until it developed a leak in a part which is no longer available. I looked at new KitchenAid dishwashers, but found that Whirlpool offered the same features at a lower price. I wanted another stainless steel tank and have been particularly pleased with the size of the tank on this one, as it's taller and easily handles some of my tall stock pots and platters. Even with the upper rack raised to the highest position, I can still fit in the insulated coffee mugs I use on a daily basis on the upper rack. I have been satisfied with the cleaning ability of this model. The only complaints I've had are: (1) the dishes are left sopping wet unless you use a rinse agent and (2) the cycle length is MUCH longer than on my older dishwashers. However, I had been warned by my salesman that I would need to use a rinse agent and that all the new dishwashers have much longer cycles due to the Energy Star requirements. I've only had it about a month, so time will tell . . . it will get a real workout during the holidays!

We bought this about a month ago and it works very well. Dishes come out sparkling clean. Love the hidden controls. Not sure I like the set up of the baskets to load dishes on, but that may be a matter of getting use to it. The stainless steel gets fingerprints easily. Overall its ability to clean dishes is great!

Nice dishwasher. Very quiet. Like the space. Not very fond of the utensils on the door. If the slots were bigger for silverware that would be better and if it soap dispenser didn't interfere when putting your utensils in. Sometimes they don't get clean.
So far so good and very quite....

Purchased washer after ours broke down. I can't believe I lived with a loud dish washer. So far happy and cleans very well. Only draw back is utensil holder. Some of our knives, spoons, etc don't fit well. Remedy is simply removing cover. Oh the washer should come with option to add salt if you suffer from heavy water.
