Worst Dishwasher I have ever owned.
from Beaumont, CA, USA
Comments about GE Profile 24" Stainless Steel Built-In Dishwasher:
This dishwasher came with our new home, but I will be replacing it as soon as I can. The upper basket is not adjustable, the wash cycle options are poor, the racks are poorly designed, giving you minimal options to rack dishes and it simply does not clean. Without a pots & pans cycle, I have to hand wash ALL cooking utensils!! Not at all happy with this appliance.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Quiet, Easy to Use, Very Good Cleaning
from Omaha, NE, USA
This dishwasher is fast, extremely quiet, and cleans very well. It disposes of food particles itself, so there is no need to reach in and clean out some gunky filter. A couple suggestions for improving the racks: the bottom tines could be just a little further apart and it would be useful to have more fold-down and tilt-angle options.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was REALLY surprised to read the other reviews - I've had this dishwasher for several months and think it's great! It is much quieter than the one I replaced, and does a great job cleaning dishes without any real effort to pre-rinse.

We previously had a GE built-in dishwasher, unsure of which model, but it did a great job. We purchased a modular home with an appliance package, based on previous experience, we thought having GE appliances would be great. The dishwasher is horrible! We have to pre-clean almost everything we put in it! If you do not completely wipe say the mayo off of the knife, it will still have a film on it when done running. If you have any kind a of pot or pan, plan on washing it by hand because this model of dishwasher will not get it clean.
Love my GE dishwasher
from Goshen, KY
We replaced our 10 year old dishwasher as the old whirlpool had rusted twines and no longer cleaned well. Love this one! It cleans great and is unbelievably quiet. We cannot hear it running while standing next to it. the shelving is different than others I've had, so we had to play with best loading method. But we always can find a way to fit everything and never run more than once a day with a family of 4. We turned off the auto soap dispenser (very easy) as just didn't like that idea. But now I'm thinking we might just try it. And for you do it yourselfers - my husband said the install was easy too. I totally recommend this dishwasher.
What a great product

This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned and it does an outstanding job cleaning. Love the hidden controls and ease of programming. I feel this was well worth the price just for the quietness.
I would buy this product again

About Me Casual Cook
Very quiet, can do a small wash every day, I use the dishwasher daily. Love the looks and also love the steam dry, not the heat. But I use the steam for small loads and the heat for larger loads.
Service and delivery comments:
Was delivered the day after we bought it. Installers were great, explained everything about the dishwasher. Very careful installing.

Product Specs are FALSE
from New Mexico, USA
The product features states this dishwasher has adjustable tines on the upper rack and that it is also removable. Neither is true!! If you are looking for adjustable tines this washer does NOT have it in the upper rack. Also, there in nothing they will do for you if you purchased your product based on their inaccurate product description besides tell you, "Sorry, try returning it..." Good luck, not sure what the point of the product description is if it is wrong...

two steps forward and one step backward?
By Nathaniel not too happy
from chicagoland area
My two steps forward stainless steel and a 2010 model. The one step backward, my 10 year old GE model had a stop cycle button and I knew when the door was close. I also, can not see the status indicator lights on my top-control panel when door is fully closed.
