Have had this refrigerator for almost 2 months. Very impressed with the quality and the fit and finish. It has worked flawlessly so far. The ice maker makes ice very quickly and has not jammed at all. Some reviews say this frig is noisy and yes, because the ice is in the door, (which makes more shelf space in the freezer), you can hear the cubes fall into the ice bin but it isn't much louder than our old frig. The noises comming from the compressor and fans running are at least normal if not quieter than most other refrigerators I have heard. The inside is very nice, excellent lighting and pretty much space for a counter depth. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone considering a counter depth refrigerator.

Although I am getting used to it, I am still unhappy with this refrigerator:*the quality of the shelves and drawers is low*the ice maker is slow and noisy*the fresh veggie pak in one drawer does not help keep veggies fresh in the other!Although we had a difficult initiation to the use of this refrigerator, I must say it does seem to cool well and I do like the lighting.We expected the same quality that we had with the previous refrigerator and have not experienced that.

This is the first time we have bought all KitchenAid appliances for our kitchen. The LED lighting and all the filters stand out from the competition. After using them every day for over two years I can say without a doubt they perform as well as they look. The best brand we have ever purchased in the last 40 years!

After owning it for 10 months it had it's first problem....ice forming behind the drawers in the refrigerator side and eventually this shut down the cooling system on both sides. I had the same problem 3 more times within a year!! Finally decided it was not repairable. Many technicians have told me the dual evaporator system just doesn't operate the way it was built!! Going back to the basic design...single evaporator system!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We've owned this refrigerator for right at 4 years and just had our 3rd repair. The first two had to do with the ice maker. This time the whole thing went out. Needed new evap coils. Yes, Whirlpool/KitchenAid covered it under warranty, but all my food spoiled and it took almost a week to get it resolved.
3 Years Old - broke twice

We have owned this refrigerator since mid 2013. It worked great up until about six months ago when the freezer and fridge side stopped cooling. We lost a great deal of food which equals money. The technician had to basically rebuild the entire unit. Guess what, it broke again last weekend and we lost another couple of hundred dollars worth of food. This refrigerator apparently has two evaporators which they are having trouble with. I won't buy another Kitchenaid product.

I got this refrigerator as a replacement for my Jenn- air that caught fire. Nancy at Whirlpool customer service was great . She sent this kitchen aid refrigerator as a replacement for my Jenn- air . Nothing but problems since I got it .The evaporator keeps icing over . This keeps the refrigerator from cooling . I have to de-ice every two months . Seems to be a common problem in reviews . I will contact Nancy from whirlpool customer service .Hopefully she can provide the same great customer service she did before and fix the problem with this refrigerator .

We've had this refrigerator just under two years and are calling out service for the fourth time! The refrigerator side freezes up every month or two. Service technicians have replaced the thermistor, control panel and fan unit. Last repair was just about a month ago and the refrigerator is frozen up again! This is the last KitchenAid product I will ever buy! One star because I can't go lower.
Worst appliance ever

I bought this refrigerator in October of 2014 and it worked fine for 6 months and that's when all the repair calls started. Even though kitchen aid came out for the first year after their warranty was up we had to purchase and extended warranty which we did. We are on a first name basis with the repair man. Finally today he said that he could not fix it. I see that multiple people have had the same issue on this model. I would expect more from a company like kitchen aid knowing this is an issue but still continue to sell the product at top dollar. I am so disappointed and will be taking my grips to social media so everyone knows that kitchen aid refrigerators are a piece of junk.
I have this included in the new home package, after almost 2 years the refrigerator stopped getting cold. looking for a new replacement never kitchen aid.
Don't buy poor quality very expensive.
I bought this refrigerator in July 2014. Now having issues with it freezing up. Repairman is trying to get parts to fix this. Having same issues as everyone else . Don't know what part is going to fix it. Not going to spend 1k on this refrigerator. Why pour good money into a piece of junk. It's out of warranty of course. I purchased this refrigerator less than 2 years ago and am having cooling issues with it. Whirlpool has given me the run around - I have purchased almost $1k in parts trying to get it to work. The warranty means nothing to this company nor does customer satisfaction. I will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. Sadly, after all of this, I now have to buy a new refrigerator as nothing they have fixed on it has solved the problem.
