Totally awesome washer! I was a little concerned about the price, but, after receiving the washer and using it I have found that I got exactly what I paid for. I now feel like my clothes were not getting clean from my old washer. 12 cycles to use . I have used all but one now. The Allergen, but, I will end up using that one eventually. You can actually set each cycle different then the default cycle. It does spin hard enough to wrinkle your clothes more then a agitator washer, but, the wrinkles come out in the dryer and you can adjust the spin speed on each cycle also. On each cycle you can adjust the wash temp, the spin speed, and the soil level. Each one has 4 levels. It gives you lots of options. Most cycles are around 1 hour long. You can use rapid wash if you are in a hurry and use the other levels with that. Rapid wash is like 37 minutes long.

What were they thinking I'm certain I use more water and electric useing the extra rinse and sanitize cycles because my wash comes out dirty.. there is NO Water to wash the clothes. Ive had items ruined when using the bleach. Clothing coming out dirty. I have read what little directions are in manuel. So disapointed.. Maytag why can't you help those of us who were loyal to Maytag products and make an adjustment to water sensor so we can wash our clothes. I will not recomend Magtag to anyone untill they confess its a poor design and find a way to compensate us for our loyalty.Love my dryer but hate my washer!!

Comments about Maytag Bravos XL White Top Load Washer:
Leaking and noise after 3 years of normal use. My wife and one child and this washer is very loud and now leaking from the upper baskets for the detergent and softener. NOW i can fix just about anything i have take this machine apart and put it back together so i am darn clear on what I am doing. I can replace the baskets for the detergent as i have sent build up in them... Alright, ok maybe that happens after three years. BUT the noise, the bearing going??? Three years and this unit costed A lot. It replaced a 10 year old washer that ran fine. We wanted new. Do not buy this product

Will never buy Maytag again!
I purchased a top of the line, very expensive Maytag washet and dryer. After only having 3 years I'm having to replace it. The parts to have it repaired cost over $400. plus labor. Then no guarantee it won't do it again in 3 years. It will not spin water out of my cloths 90% of the time and when it does work it sounds like a jet plane. Very disappointed !!!
Poor Materials and no quality control.

What a piece of junk owned for 3 years and F01 message bad motherboard with repair service nearly a 500$ repair on a 3 year old washer? What about the dependability people? I will probably never buy Maytag/whirlpool again nor will I recommend to anyone thanks for backing up your product against defects. Plus I'd always get LF errors

It does wash, but always out of balance - does not matter how light or heavy the load. if you want to wake the house this is it.

Sounds like a jet engine
from Clarksville, MD
We bought this washer a little over 3 years ago. From the beginning we had difficulty with detergent residue left on dark clothing. We tried using even miniscule amts. of detergent...still didn't help. The only solution seems to be using the Bulky load setting, but doesn't this defeat the purpose of the HE concept?About 6 months ago we started noticing a grinding noise during the agitation cycle and an extremely loud, jet engine like noise during the spin cycle. There's obviously some sort of manufacturer's defect going on with these washers...I've heard WAY too many similar stories. Maytag says this isn't covered by their 2-10 year warranty. Maytag needs to start putting quality assurance and customer satisfaction above profit margins and make this right!
Worse Washer and Dryer I ever purchased
from Helnetta NJ
I bought the Maytag Bravo XL 7cu ft series about 4 months ago and have had nothing but problems with it! For example: There is not enough water to clean our clothes in addition to rinsing the detergent and residue left on my partially wet garments. Most of the time I am detangling the garments after a wash in which the arms of my shirts are strangled around my jeans. Our pants come out of the wash with one leg partially wet the other dry! Comforters are another problem, (I bought the larger drum just for this purpose) however, the comforter does not rinse, so I have to rerun the SPIN cycle several times so it is NOT sopping wet! It takes hours to wash one comforter, and then to dry it "senses" that its dry, when it clearly is not! My items come out of the wash wrinkled, dust residued, and often times smells of my perfume. I've been doing laundry for almost 30 years, so this is NOT my first wash/dryer. I have two boys who grew up playing football, baseball, soccer, ground in dirt was a constant with their uniforms. I never had a problem with my prior washer or dryer. I deeply regret my purchase!!
Poor Reliability and Customer Service

Purchased A Bravos thinking I would do a good thing for the ecology (conserve Energy/Water) and just before the end of the warranty period it started making bad noises. Called their tech service and was advised I probably was not balancing the load properly. Tried their suggestions and the noise kept getting louder. Again called tech service and then was advised it probably was the transmission and cost to repair was more than new purchase. Was offered a 20% rebate on a new machine. Enough from Maytag, a Speed Queen is being delivered today. On a similar note, a out of warranty LG TV experienced a problem and was covered 100% by warranty. So much for trying to buy American built.

This machine does not clean clothes! Clothes come out dirty. I have cleaned my machine and tried the different cycles, water temp, load size. Some of the clothes come out dry in spots. I am constantly rewashing clothes.
Bravos XL® HE Top Load Washer
from Harrington, DE
I purchased this washer 3 years ago. Glad I took the extended warranty. However, the control board went bad on Thanksgiving Day and it is taking 6 weeks to get the part from the manufacturer. I would not buy a Maytag again. Costs $20.00 every time I go to the Laundromat. No compensation for that or my time. No loaner to use either. I liked the washer until now. Service is not acceptable. They need to keep parts available.
Worst washer I have ever seen

Doesn't get clothes clean. Wash sheets and they have dry spots on them that never saw water. Have to wash 2-3 times to get mild dirt from clothes. Tried every setting.
