Lots of room for a 33 inch wide unit
from Santee, CA, USA
Comments about LG Black French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator:
We have had this refrigerator a month, it is the first French door we have owned and it is great. We like the refrigerator being on top, everything is at eyelevel. The bottom freezer is roomy and the pull out drawer is an added feature. There is plenty of storage in the doors too.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great buy for the money
from Columbus, OH, USA
This unit is large considering it fits in a 33 inch wide space. Nice unit for the money.
Lots of room for a slim design

Lots of room for a slim designed refrigerator. I would have liked the crinkle feature on the entire appliance. The smooth black shows all the fingerprints.
First French Door Fridge and we love it!!
from Summerville, SC, USA
This is our first French Door refrigerator and I don't know how we ever used anything else. First, we love the space and the freezer on the bottom. We adjusted the shelfs to match everything we need to fit in this fridge. I would have loved if the slide shelfs came with this - I didn't realize until I tried to pull one out and it didn't budge. I would give this fridge all 5's if it had that.

Love Love Love this Refrigerator

I was replacing my old refrigerator which also had a bottom freezer. I wasn't sure I liked the concept of having a drawer for the freezer because my old one had a door. I knew I had to buy a bottom freezer because I would not get used to a top freezer again. When comparing the bottom freezers that were available now, the quality of the LG was so far above the others I felt there was nothing to compare. The smoothness and ease of opening and closing the drawers was impressive. The storage space on the doors plenty to hold condiments, milk and juice. My old refrigerator froze everything I put in the crisper drawers. I was never able to get that adjusted. It has been wonderful to know that when I go to take out my lettuce it will be fresh not frozen. The meat drawer is a great feature also. The lighting is great too! I can actually see what's in the back of the fridge. As for the freezer drawer that was a concern is no longer a concern. I thought that once the freezer was full it would be hard to open however it still glides smoothly and with ease. Love it!
Love the design

We had a conventional top-freezer of another brand that we were tired of for several reasons, perhaps the main one being that I felt like I almost gave myself a concussion when I hit my head on the freezer door. Two of our relatives had LG French-door refrigerators and we knew we wanted this style. My research showed that LG had good reliability ratings and I further found that this LG model was probably the best one given the space constraints that required us to buy in the 33-inch class. We've been extremely satisfied. Perhaps the thing I like best is the full-width meat/deli drawer all the way at the bottom of the refrigerator section. Our old unit had a half-width drawer hanging from one of the shelves. It was cramped and it interfered with putting stuff on the shelves. Putting the meat drawer at the bottom makes great sense since it's the coldest place. I also like the large-capacity door shelves. We do not store milk on the door because it's the wrong place for it (too warm, milk should go on the bottom shelf), but a 4-litre lemonade pitcher easily fits on one shelf with some room to spare, and I can also fit 12 bottles of beer on the door shelves quite easily. The design of the lighting at the top of the main compartment (flush with the top) is nice because it maximizes space. Our old unit used a conventional light bulb that hung down and got in the way. My father told me he wasn't sure about the bottom-freezer idea because of how you have to bend over. I have not had a problem in that respect (I'm 40 years old and about 6 feet tall, BTW), but I do note that with our old top-freezer I had to bend over every single time I went into the refrigerator, and I open the fridge a lot more often than the freezer. Having the freezer in a drawer does present a bit of an adjustment because you have to lift and move items to get at other things, but that's a minor adjustment. The one thing this particular model does not have that I'd kind of like is the extendable/retractable shelves. I don't know for sure what LG calls those, but they're the type that you can slide halfway back if you need to make room for a tall item. It'd be nice if LG sold those shelves separately as an option you could add either in addition to or in place of your existing shelves. I do not miss a through-the-door water/ice dispenser because we deliberately opted not to get that feature. We don't feel it's worth the extra cost and we know people who have had problems with dispensers (on various brands of refrigerators), and we also don't really use lots of ice, so we opted not to get that feature. All in all, we've had this unit for just over a month and I highly recommend it so far. The black finish looks great in our kitchen with other black appliances, too.
Decent Buy and Efficient

Nothing fancy here, but good use of space and good efficiency. No complaints.

We are very pleased with this appliance. It runs very quietly and we are sure that it will save electricity compared to our last refrigerator. There are many features that we enjoy, especially the bright interior lighting to make it easier to find items. Temperature indicators, shelf adjustment and pull-out features are very helpful.

So far I've been very happy with this refrigerator. 33" was the widest fridge we could get to fit in our kitchen, and this was the largest we could find. We've had it about two months and we're very happy, it's very solid and works great.
This product is a great size and is quiet

I always knew that LG made great televisions but was not aware that they also make great appliances. We saw this refrigerator in the store and my wife loved it. We have had it in our home since September, 2012 and are very happy with the product and also happy with the LG customer service people always available to answer questions.
