This washer is beautiful. It has all the latest features that you would want or need. Very quiet operation. Cleaned clothes great! Plenty of capacity for big loads including my king size comforter. I did my due diligence on deciding which new washer to buy. Very pleased that I chose this Maytag Bravo XL MVWB950YG toploader for my home. Well worth the money spent and expect many many years of dependablity from the best name in washers in the business....MAYTAG. Stay lonely Maytag repairman !!!

This machine leaves a dirty/linty film on clothes. With the limited water supplies and pretty nonexistent agitator, clothes are not getting cleaned. Whether using different cycles, cleaning the machine with Affresh and standing over the machine for the whole cycle, I remain TOTALLY unimpressed. I have run separate rinse cycles, made sure the machine is not overloaded, made sure that thing in the middle that calls itself an agitator is not covered, and had a technician out. I will be calling Maytag (for the 3rd time) to ask for my money back on get a regular agitator machine that I control rather than automatic settings. The image I am attaching was taken right after a load was washed 5 minutes ago.

BAD, Bad bad!!!,
By Never again!
from Houston, TX
Purchased this Maytag washer 4 years ago. Never did ever wash clothes clean. Manual said high efficiency, low-water washer. Yes, it was low water, way too low in my opinion! Only 2 adults in our household, so this machine didn't get the use that a family of 4 would give it. Lots of times, especially with dark colored items, would have to re-wash load - a definite residue on clothes, like they weren't rinsed well at all. Washer extremely louder than usual during spin, black greasy marks on floor coming from washer, and washer on floor too. Called Maytag service center & told of problems, had a repairman come out, cost was $102, only to have the repairman give an estimate of $764.42 to repair. Nothing much seemed to be under warranty! Needed tub-outer, basket, stator, rotor, and sensor!!! Feel completely ripped off!!! Never buy a Maytag on their reputation - it is bogus! BAD, Bad, bad!

We've had our washer for about a month now, and after getting over our initial overwhelm (wow - all those buttons and lights!!) are delighted with our purchase. This is our first low-water machine, and first time with no agitator. Yup, we're old school. Clothes are clean. Fabrics are handled gently. Capacity is huge! Machine hums along quietly, doing its thing... as it should. What's not to love? :-)
Worse washing machine ever
from Montgomery Alabama
I bought the pair the washing machine & dryer. I wish I had returned the washer it is the worse washer I have ever bought my white come out so looking more dirty than when I put them in and I use name brand detergents and Clorox . I don't who invented this washer but it couldn't have been a women who take pride in clean clothes. I wish I didn't listen to my husband, he wanted to keep it and I should have known better he don't do laundry.

Garbage, do not purchase Bravos....
By Dan Clair
from Canton, Michigan
Bought 2 years ago and worst washer ever. Water saver doesn't clean clothes, only fills to bottom third of washer, meaning many many more loads needed. Constantly does not level when doing heavy loads, example more than 3 towels. If more than 3 towels, then it will take aprox 3-4 hours (not exaggerating) because the machine will constantly try to re-level itself. So disappointed with this machine. Will not purchase Maytag brand for any future appliances.
After 2 years the balance is off and it doesn't work

It would be more expensive to fix than to buy a new one and it is only 2 years old. Google may tag bravos and loud spin - that was how it started and there are many complaints out there. Stinks.

Replaced a front load washer. Compared to that this is a dream. Wash towels all day long! As noted in other reviews manynof the problems can be eliminated by the washer settings. I love it
Great Machine, Plenty of Wash Cycle Options
from Cedar Falls, IA
Loving this large capacity machine, do not have to worry about a musty smelling wash tub or clothes due to top load. Clear lid is great, as is the time count-down functionality, I know exactly how long until the load is done. For those complaining about soap residue - use a cycle that has a normal rinse rather than the water-saving rinse, problem solved! Also, you have to load it properly - placing clothes around the wash plate at the bottom of the wash bin so the machine adds the correct amount of water to the cycle. For those complaining about how dry or wrinkled your clothes turn out, try adjusting the level of spin to a lower level. I love the fact that I can put delicates in and have them come out ready to be hung to dry with little or no wrinkles, also love the fact that I can put comforter for my king bed in and have it spun out so that it is relatively dry coming out of the washer, which cuts down on dry time. Many of the complaints I've read in these reviews are easily fixed, by using the settings on the machine. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a spin cycle, you have to rinse and spin.

Terrible! Do not buy this washer
from Boise, ID
You can expect half of your load to be clean and the other half to have soap residue and be a wrinkled mess. It has a large capacity which fits a big blanket or comforter but only the bottom half of the blanket will actually be clean. Articles of clothing ball up together. Soap residue on any dark colored clothing. This is a terrible machine. Don't buy it.
Worst washer and dryer I have ever had
from El Paso Tx 79912
Bedding cycle; sheets come out all tangled inside round ball (the fitted sheet) / I use HE ALL brand pods and black clothes come out with splotches of soap on them. / I cannot reach the clothes at the bottom of the tub (5.3), I have to use kitchen tongs to take small items out, I wanted large tub to do fewer loads for family laundry. / Wrinkle free cycle is a joke......you cannot hang to dry those items that you do not want to put in a warm dryer. This washer was over $800. No floor model when I bought, researched online.
