I've had this stove for a month now, was a little concerned about the fan that kept running after I was done baking pizza. But that's a safety feature to cool your control panel from over heating. I think the elements are quick to work. Compared to the solid coil that I use to fight with for 16 years, it feels like I have induction. The control pad is sensitive, but you can just press control lock out #s 9 & 0 at the same time for 3 secs. and it can be locked and solve the problem for cleaning purposes or for wandering fingers. Going out this week to by a griddle to try the bridge elements. The convection adjusts temp automaticaly a feature that I had to adjust the temp myself with my old convection oven. Haven't used the probe but will try it out soon. I like the feature of being able to adjust the oven temp. by 35 degress during cycle. So much inc.

I have had this stove less then a year. I boiled pasta the second time I used it and a small amount of water went over onto the burner. Did everything the book said to try and remove it. Even had the tech come out and was told it was a water stain.I had my last smooth top stove for 17 yrs. and it didn't have a mark on it, as I take very good care of my appliances. This stove marks so easlly and some don't come off, even with the cream, vinegar, etc. . Also the controls are so sensitive and come on with just the touch of my shirt if I am bending slightly over to stir something even on the front burners. I am so upset and have expressed my concerns, but guess it went on deaf ears. I would never buy another GE product due to this.

Great oven features but!!

Comments about GE Profile 30" Slide In Electric Range:
The powerboil burner is difficult to control. Even when it is set to 2 or low it has proved to be too hot, scorching food in both heavy weight aluminum or cast iron.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Difficult to Clean
from Eugene, OR, United States
I am not happy with Oldfield Appliance, Eugene, OR. They told us we could exchange stove "for any reason," and are now not willing to. We also purchased a 5 year warrenty from them. They did tighten to oven door, and thought they fixed the computer; the computer is still a problem.
A total kitchen makeover

My 2nd review. I've had this stove for almost a year now. Sill a happy camper. Convection oven adjusts the temperature by itself. Controls are sensitive but can be locked out. Have yet to use the probe for baking roasts. Top is a little tricky to keep clean but cermabryte a great product, I really like the way it looks in my kitchen. It gave the kitchen a whole new look.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Sure will give your kitchen an uplift

Black top does stain easily but cerama bryte does job. Bridge element great feature, hidden element in oven great for clean up on boil overs. I like the lock out feature for the electronic control pad up front as it will beep a lot if you don't lock out.
This product has lived up to my expectations

This is my first ceramic cooktop stove and I love it. The stove has so many features and it cooks the food fast. It looks so good in my kitchen. I am planning on purchasing more GE appliances in the near future. Thanks GE.

Syrface elements respond rapidly to controls, and have several options to accommodate different sizes of skillets and pans.

The controls are too sensitive, otherwise still getting used to the configeration of burners.

The convection oven is good for baked products. I find the controls for the burners confusing so have to always make sure that I'm turning them on correctly. We needed the spacer to fill in the bare spot in back by the cabinet from my previous GE slide-in range, but the frame of this oven is crooked so the spacer fill-in sits crooked--something we need to deal with when we have time.
Burner burn out!
from Lebanon, OH, USA
Purchased this in March 2011 and the back left burner is not working. It is August 2012 and I think it should last longer than this. I love this range and everything about it. But, I am very disappointed in this.
