I like this TV, though I realize it's not high-end. Very pleased with the picture quality from TV broadcasts as well as DVD's.

What perplexes me is that I did some research on the TV choices, read some reviews, and talked with an electronic nerd I work with. No one mentioned anything about ghosting.

But the user's manual has big warnings about it and using 4:3 ratio too long. I have alot of old DVD's originally recorded in 4:3; some operas. If I expand the screen, I loose the subtitles.

Further research gave conflicting information. My coworker nerd said he never heard of an LED TV having ghosting issues.

I have not experienced any, but I'm beign careful about veiwing in 4:3 too long. There probably aren't any alternatives, but I hate delicate things.

Have owned other Samsung displays before, so this tv definitely lives up to the great Samsung reputation for picture quality. Needed a 40" TV for the bedroom with HDMI input, and this fills the bill. Unfortunately, it does not connect to WIFI or have network capability (thought it did when I saw the USB port, but it is only for thumb drive file sharing, not a network dongle... But that's is OK for the bedroom. One other small weird issue... TV won't let you lable digital channels, such as marking it with a network name or station ID. You can only do that on the Analog stations... and as there are no more analog stations, that is basically useless. So as long as you are OK with finding your favorite stations by surfing only just the digital channel number, then you are OK. For me, its hard to remember that a particular network is on say 109-3 when surfing.

Largest screen we've ever had; room really couldn't accommodate anything bigger. Picture clarity so great. Thinness a revelation as we remember sets dating back to the 50s that were sooooo big back to front. It is our major TV set slimness and clean lines really add to the room. works great with Samsung DVR; enjoy movies so much more with added picture size and clarity.

Replaced Sony 27 inch tube TV with this guy. Very nice TV and great value for this price, however, I still give the nod to SONY for making the best TV out there but figured we could get by without the SONY for a bedroom TV. Picture very crips and clear.

Good value for the price, Excellent picture quality, the sound quality is only average. Easy setup to my cable and DVD player. Size of the unit 40" was perfect for the room we have it in.

Needed specific size to fit into cabinet, but because sound comes out of back, we had to add a soundbar in front. Seems to be a good combination!
