I've been selling cellphones for the past 4-5 years for several major retailers. Also, I've been with At&t for the past 2 years. I love Samsung products but I have to say the phone that I had before the Note (I had a Galaxy S 1) I was disappointed with how many issues I had with it (all related to the antenna in the phone GPS and Operating System). On the most recent upgrade I got the Note, not because of it's physical size but more or less because of the battery size ( I'm a DJ so I travel a lot so I needed a phone with decent battery life). I have to say that in regards to what I got in the box, I am just extremely happy that there are not errors, lag issues with the OS, battery life is nice in regards to it being a smartphone, and the camera is awesome. I love the fact that it has a flash. I also am constantly using the tethering and hot-spot feature on it and though it drains the battery fairly fast if you don't have it plugged into a power chord, the signal strength is great with the 4GLTE and or HSPDA+. I honestly don't think that I have any problems or things I don't like about this phone except for the fact that most of the places in my area that sell cases for this are usually girly colors for cases, but that's not really Samsung's problem, it's mine. LOL, but I do strongly recommend this product to anyone that likes the larger screen and above average battery life (please do realize that this is still a phone, if you are on it all day, that's about how long it will last!!!) I was on the fence about Samsung's smart phones after my debacle with the Galaxy S I, but I will honestly say that going from that, to the Samsung Galaxy Note, there is a big difference and I believe that this is the best Smartphone on the Market right now!

There are pluses and minuses to this phone. I'm not sure on many issues if it is samsung or android. Phone freezes up a lot and get the message "Sorry, (Whatever app) has stopped working" and it takes up to a minute or more to get that message. It is a large phone so if your looking for real estate to read on and do email it is great. If you want to have a compact phone in your pocket while your at the gym or walking about with headset on, it is quiet cumbersome. You'll have to figure out what you want more screen or connivance. I found i rarely use the pen, but it is nice on evernote for putting info in writing on notes. Call quality is good, bluetooth syncing works better on other devices I've owned.

The good and the bad
I loved this phone to death. I got it originally because the size but it offered so much more than that. After about a year the charger port went out so i had to get a new one. And recently it had an issue with the battery and it was swollen so i bought a new battery then worked fine. But now it's starting to glitch out with the touch screen apparently samsung knows about the software issue with the android 3.0-4.1 the touchscreen will start to glitch out and turn the phone off. So i'm stuck between leaving samsung all together or staying a true fan and getting the note 3 i haven't decided yet.
i actually like the note comes in handy for all i need it for
I've had this phone for over a year now. I originally got it because I needed a large screen to read information in real time. It works perfectly, the only thing. I can't WAIT to get the Galaxy Note 2! The one knock is the slower processor. But that's to be expected from the first generation. Keep it up Samsung.
I have had this phone since July 2012 and it never stops amazing me. I love how big the screen it is and how many good features it has. The only downfall of the phone is the battery and android cannot show emojis. I would love it even more if it would fix the battery life.
i can find things i want to fine and do not have to use my computer

Great springboard into the Note Series

I have the original Note and at first made fun of the huge size of it. BUT! Love it. Purchased it as a Christmas gift for myself and sister. Great for reading. . . watching movies and performs as a great all in one tool as a IT consultant/technician. Now I want the Note 11. Just to get all the Jelly Bean Features that I did not get when I upgraded my current Note to JB.

Incredible screen and ease of use. Really enjoy the camera and the music player.
This phone has been nothing but issues since I bought it November 2012, I would NEVER recommend this phone to anyone! I bought it for the big screen, as I do everything on my phone, (or at least used to till I bought this phone) which is the only positive thing I have to say about this phone! It forces closes apps in the middle of using them, the internet will freeze my phone and I have to pull the battery out to get it restarted, I can not upgrade it to the latest version of Android, every time I try it says "unable to upgrade" most of the apps in google play store are not compatible with my phone, the keypad has a horrible response time, I am a fast typer but am forced to type at a very slow rate so the keypad can keep up! Worst phone, EVER, hands down! I am truly disappointed in this phone!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
difficult to connect to transfer anything large!
from margate florida
we are not new to computers or cell phones. my husband is a programer for 25 years. finding drivers is impossible for the average person. this phablet would be perfect if it was easier to connect by bluetooth, wi-fi, uploading movies is impossible since they are so large. the phone has a superiour camera/video which is worth all that it cost just for that feature alone, but transfering these large files is near impossible. get better drivers and instructions on the SAMSUNG website to address this PLEASE!
