Bought this at Christmas time and it works very well for the most part. I am using this to replace my HTPC which was directly connected to my Samsung flatscreen. Got tired of dragging movies onto my TV, needed something that I could control with a real remote control. Setup was easy, BD playback is great, Samsung smartview is amazing. Smartview is available for Samsung smartphones but can be installed on other rooted android devices (I use it with no glitches on HTC One X). The boot time is a little slow and it doesn't play back ALL codecs but all of the major ones. I understand that quick start mode speeds up things but it also consumes more standby power and maybe I am just doing my part to save the whales or whatever but I keep my power usage to an absolute minimum. This device is off more than it's on for me so its just personal preference. I have a few MP4 files which are not supported (again, codec issue) but plays mkv and mpg etc flawlessly. Surfing the internet works well and quick, but for some reason Netflix is slow. Like slow as in sometimes the movie lists on the main screen do not even show up. once your in the movie it plays fine so I assume this is some sort of software issue that may be addressed with future firmware/software updates. I have not tried it wired (using the wireless connection with Dlink wireless N router) but netflix is fine with our Wii so I doubt that's the case. If I attempt to play a large mkv file (30+gb) across the network wirelessly it stutters always and freezes sometimes. I have not tried a wired connection but mathematically this is about where wireless n maxes out (throughput wise) so I have attributed it to the bandwidth issue but I do not think that should cause the system to become unresponsive and freeze, it may not have the video power to decompress and play full quality 1080p. But playing uncompressed blu ray from a disc is no problem at all. I would not think that given the complexity of this system and what would be needed for more support, this player should not be able to handle (codec/format/software wise) everything that VLC player- maybe a 50mb installation could handle. But like I said it handles 90% of what I've thrown at it so that's saying something. The netflix usability is unacceptable and I haven't even tried to diagnose it or run a search to find a common problem but for being a media center and blu-ray player (what I bought it for) it is near perfect. You can't expect to have Radeon 7750 video horsepower for the price so overall this gets a 9/10 out of the box. I would be willing to say 10/10 if I can get the netflix resolved easily, I gave it only 4 stars because I can see that being a huge problem for a lot of consumers in the market for something like this, not so much the video horsepower or codec support.

Delivery was fast and I had no problems at all with Abt electronics. This is my first order and will likely not be my last. Good companies are hard to find sometimes but so far Abt gets 5 stars from me.

I did not use this product much yet but I noteced that it works a little bit slow. Cannot juge about 3D yet since did it use it yet.
But quality of blue ray is good

This product was a replacement for a C6900 3D player that died a mysterious death which occured right after a software update. I have heard that certain samsung software updates can render a product unusable and unrepairable. Hope that is not the case with this unit.

I bought this player mostly for netflix streaming. Every time I've used it something doesn't work right. One time the audio failed. Next time it would not connect to Net flix even tho It had been working before. After re-setting up Netflix it worked ok then the next time the audio stopped again for about ten minutes then started ok. One time the voice was way out of sync with the picture. Gave up and gave it to my son to play with. Bought a new player-a Sony. It works great!
