The noise levels on this refrigerator are very noisy. The fan runs all the time. I had a cheaper Kenmore that you couldn't hear at all. I wish I would have kept my old appliance.

My husband and I looked at many refrigerators for a few weeks, trying to find the one that met all of our needs without breaking the bank. There is so much room in the refrigerator and freezer sections, the shelves are easy to move for larger items, and a customized need. You barely even know it is on with how quiet it is, and the smart sense temperature feature is AMAZING! Given the opportunity to re-purchase with a bigger budget, we would still take this refrigerator any-day.

refrigerator is energy star qualifiedwhich I love!. The In-Door-Ice Plus ice dispensing system moves with bin in door is excellent feature giving me more room in my freezer than any otherside by side model I have ever purchased , so far performance has been excellent, and space in referigerator is great!! also love the design I would most definetly recommend this product and have to my freinds I love it so much I purchased all new matching whirlpool kitchen appliances shortly after purchasing the fridge...

We recently moved to a new home with Whirlpool stainless steel built-in appliances, so we decided to leave our 6-yr old white Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator - which was working well. There were only 2 frustrations with the old model: Excess water from the dispenser would accumulate in the small drip tray and, unless continuously dried off, eventually ran down the front of the door. The other was having one less shelf in the center of the freezer section - even though there were supports for one. I was pleased to find that this model's water dispenser doesn't have the same issue. The old model had a very light spring action on the water operating lever, whereas this model has larger, flat surface controls to operate both ice and water dispensers, that are quite a bit harder to press. The firmer acting switch means that a glass is often still beneath the water exit tube, when the water stops flowing, so it's less likely to drip. I can imagine that those with limited hand strength could have difficulty using the new design, so check it out in store, if this might be a concern. Alas, like our old one, it still seems like there's a 'missing' shelf or basket in the freezer section of this model. We solved the problem in our old one using a plastic mesh basket that fit the opening just right - and was used for holding irregular shaped items like bags of frozen food. I'll be looking for a similar basket to use in the new one, but come on Whirlpool... how much would it cost to include a removable plastic basket! (or 2)

We have just purchased all new appliances and have never had Whirlpool before so we decided to furnish our home with your products. We are very pleased with them. The refrigerator has excellent features and our food actually taste fresher and keeps longer especially the vegetables and fruits. I will definitely stay with whirlpool in the future. We are very pleased with this fridge. We had read reviews prior to purchase and some had said the fridge was noisy. I disagree with those reviews, our fridge is quite. The only sound you hear is the ice dropping into bin and it's not that noticeable.

The refrigerator has met my expectations for me and my family. It has plenty of room for our titems and we are allow in moving the shelves to our convinient. Also the freezer shelves preserve the items there.
