Very very noisy, and takes a while to cool down a room. Do not recommend this air conditioner where you need to hear people talk. It is loud several rooms away.

Comments about GE 24,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner:

It took a couple of hours to install in our new window, and we had to have someone help us, as it was extremely heavy for one person. Our new windows had a vinyl lip to combat drafts, so we had to figure out how to support the air conditioner without ruining that. Because it was a huge piece of equipment, support was the issue. If you don't know what you're doing, you might want to pay to have it installed. It did fit our window, measurements were accurate. Delivery was excellent, and the guys brought it right into the room where it was going to be installed.
