I rate this unit DC-39 very highly because it has the equivalent vacuum power of some large industrial systems. We've have had many vacuums that are only sold door to door. So you may know what brand I mean they are nice but the service and sells are exactly that; "Out the door!" when you own one. This Dyson DC-39 is so small and compact it stores anywhere. It does not require hear protection to operate it. it has the most slight whisper that will hardly interrupt others. It came with optional attachments for our hardwood floors, carpet and furniture. Imagine this my wife can actually carry this Dyson DC39 unit and all the attachments up and down the stairs without getting bruised legs. Not so with others. We have a busy household with two teenagers, so I recommend this bag-less system to anybody with allergies, kids or just to keep a good clean home.

I have used my dc39 multi floor for about 3 wks now. Love the suction, the way it moves around ealily. wish it came with a mini turbine tool. i have two cats and two dogs, for the price they should consider offering more attachments with vacuum. it does not move across carpet easily. low pile or not you have to really push, i am use to a motorized powerhead doing all the work, luckily I have mostly wood and ceramic tile with area rugs throughout my home. It is a good vacuum and I would recommend it to people who do not have a lot of carpet.

I am LOVING this little machine. It is quieter than my DC25, but POWERFUL. I discovered that I can use my tools from my other machine on this one. The ball is so light, I can carry it around for cleaning furniture and cat trees. LOL. The hard floor attachment is unbelievable. I have retired my broom.

First time Dyson purchase and very happy with product. Purchased the canister thinking it would be easier on steps and I was right! The canister fits right on the step, unbelievable, no trying to manuever around steps - it's easy to carry, light weight, love the ease of attaching attachments and hoses. Emptying canister is new for me since our current vacuum is a central vac. Central vac has been great, but after 16 years the suction just wasn't there any longer. Decided to try friend (s) recommended Dyson and it was definetly a great choice. Dyson has restored my beautiful carpets.

This vacuum is fantastic. I recommend it without hesitation and would encourage anyone considering a canister vacuum to at least give it a serious look. My only slightly negative comment is that it is slightly harder to empty the bin compared to my DC07 upright, but that is a very minor blemish on an otherwise exemplary cleaning machine.

I've owned a Dyson upright for years and love it. I bought the DC39 for the main level of my house (only because I'm getting too old to be lugging my upright up and down the stairs). I have three dogs and the DC39 is simple to use and it sucks the dog hair off the couch's with such ease. It also works great on the wood floors, cleaning ceiling fans, hard to reach cob webs...etc. I'll be a Dyson owner for life! Thanks for making such wonderful products!

I have purchased almost all of the Dyson products either for myself or as gifts. It's hard to believe that someone (Dyson) finally started to think out of the box! I love all of my products, but my favorite is the new blade-less fan. It's so pretty (I like the blue) & I use it every day....sometimes at night too. I just love this machine! It is easily maneuverable and light. The suction power is phenomenal, and it easily picks up the smallest items. I love the articulating floor tool.....it makes it easy to reach under the couch, cupboards, and into small areas. We've been looking for a new vacuum for a couple of years and couldn't find one that we liked. We saw the ad on television and decided to take a chance. Now we're glad we did.
