We do fairly ordinary loads of laundry, whites, darks, sheets and towels, but we sometimes do very large loads...or so we thought. This dryer accepts our largest loads, up to twice as large as our old dryer, and still drys the clothes in a single cycle. We like: - interior light and stainless steel drum: quality! Made the other units we studied look cheap. - LED display is easy to use, has lots of options, and is both bright and easy to read - Pleasant alert chime when cycle finishes, but we can still hear it anywhere in the house - Great lint trap design, and somehow we pull less lint from the trap overall than the old dryer - Clothes smell better than any other dryer we've experienced - Handles large loads of sheets and/or towels with ease, even our rugs! (- We have yet to try the steam mode) We don't like: - Dryer starts with a loud thumpa-whumpa sound. It is much louder than the washing machine and louder than our old dryer...for the first few minutes. Oddly, the dryer then quiets down after it runs for a bit. Overall, we are VERY pleased with our purchase. We would buy LG again, and it will be the first brand we examine for any purchase.

This dryer is great! It has a huge drum and it holds alot of clothes. I like the chime that rings when the clothes are done. The only thing it is missing is a 'non wrinkle' cycle option that will keep your clothes turning for awhile after they are dry #to avoid wrinkles#. Maybe there is an option for this? I haven't read the instructions, so maybe I'm missing something.

We just bought this dryer based on the reviews and I must say that they are 100% correct. I have been using it for about a month now and my laundry is getting done so much faster because of this purchase. It is a huge dryer and it dries in half the time as my old one.(which was only 4 1/2 years old). It is a great purchase. We do about 5 - 10 loads a day. This unit has no problem keeping up....I highly recommend this product!

The dryer works very well. We have not used the steam feature yet or the removable internal drying rack. The only complaint I have is that the belt drive makes a thumping sound when it starts up. Once it has been up and running most of the noise is gone. When the installer ran it for the first time, I noticed the noise and he said it would go away over time as the belt wears in. I may end up calling LG to find out if a replacement belt is required.

Service and delivery comments:

Since the dryer has an option to have the vent hose go out the side (intead of the back is it is deliverd) I asked them to switch it to the side. Also, I asked that they reverse the door swing from left to right. There was an additional $30 fee that I didn't anticipate since I was already paying a delivery and set up fee. No additional parts were required for them to do both adjustments.

I own the gas dryer dries in 25 min compared to old electric dryer 1hr or more can fit alot of clothes in this dryer . my only problem is lg should include LP conversion in this unit i thought it came w/ it found out the hard way gas installers had to make 2 trips out $85.00 plus kit thats a very small valve

So far, i have been very impressed with how quiet this machine is and it has alot of functions for a very reasonable price. i use this product for all my household needs and it is especially durable for all of the towels i need for my spina bifida dog.
