When my fridge went out right before Christmas -my oven decided to quit at the same time! As we were researching new fridges and talking with our local dealer I decided to check out the ranges while I was there as well. Absolutely feel in love with this range. It has five burners on the smooth top- one being a "keep warm burner". When I was first told about it I thought I would probably not use it very much. WRONG! Use it and the keep warm feature in the oven all the time. The window on the oven door is very nice and allows you to see everything that is cooking in the spacious oven without having to open the door. Another feature is the steam cleaning well with the hidden bottom element. People, I have not had to use the longer cleaning feature on this range yet. All I have had to do is put a small amount of water in the bottom well- turn on the steam feature- and a short time later I am wiping out any softened mess I might have made. Setting the temperatures and cooking time could not be easier. Love the smooth top and the fact you have two burner sizes in one burner unit is great too. I replaced a Kitchenaide fancy slide in with this unit and am so glad I did. Love the fact that all knobs are across the back. And if this is something you might consider doing with your slide in- DONT take the little ledge out across the back. This range will fit snugly up against it with ease. I now have a perfect and convenient place for storing my cutting boards when not in use! I honestly could not be happier with my choices. My new Whirlpool French Door Fridge and the above Range are the best appliances I have ever owned--and I'm 61!

This is my second smooth top range. I HATE that the surface is glossy black because it shows every little bit of grease and any scratches. My last stove was a mottled gray that camouflaged things better-very hard to keep perfectly clean. The elements are slow to boil water (as are all flat top electric stoves). I like that you can expand the elements to accomodate different size pots. The timer feature is annoying and because I actually use it alot it bugs me; once on it does not revert back to the clock so I can have the time. It only beeps once when finished so there have been times when I was in another room and I missed it. The convection feature is nice but I find there are so many different modes for it I don't know when to use what! The manual is a little vague: for example what is Convection Cook for? Also another thing I don't like is that the oven light comes on automatically when you open the door; after I am done using the oven I used to like to open the door to let all that nice warm air into my kitchen but I can't with this one. Overall, functions well but there are a few minor details about it I wish I had paid attention to when I was looking for a new range. Durability of the product will be determined with time since it is only 5 months old

The range looks pretty but the top scratches and stains easily. It take about 25 minutes to heat to 400 degrees...way too long. All the small burners are towards the back of the stove. So you only have large ones in front and its hard to lean over and cook on the small ones. Big design flaw!!! Also it takes forever to boil water.

I love this stove. I enjoy cooking and baking again. I would prefer the small burners in the front rather than the back. I was told ranges are designed this way for people who have ovens or microwaves over range. I do not and small burners in back are unhandy for me. Also even the 9" burners are too big for most of the pans I use. I have adjusted. The warmer burner is handy. Overall I love this range and would recommend it.

I have to bend down to look under the range hood to clearly see the burner controls. The cook top burners take a long time to heat up. I've used this kind of cook top before and have not had this problem. I will want to replace the unit when the home warranty is up with something with more features and a better cook top. It looks good.

I really like the fact that one front burner can be either large or small depending on what your needs are at that moment. My husband has a tendency to always choose the largest burner for even the small pots and this way he can still use the same burner and only heat up the inner ring!

Great oven. Just two drawbacks: 1.the oven has a light to tell you your surface is hot, but it doesn't tell you which eye is hot. It was a feature on my other smooth top (cheaper) stove. 2. The drawer on the stove is flimsy and not a complete drawer. The sides come down really low. But the stove cooks well. No other issues.
