We've owned this model for a year. It does a good job of cooling and can also be used as a dehumidifier and even a fan. Fairly easy to install. If it's very humid and you use it 12-16 hours/day, or if using as a dehumidifier, you'll need to empty the water out of the bin once or twice daily. The only realistic way to do this is to drag the large, unwieldy, 65-lb thing outside to let it drain. There is no removable bin and the drain plug is at the very bottom of the machine, so you can't place a bucket under it to drain it. It's a miserable task. Other than that, we love that it has many setting options to get exactly what you want out of it, especially being able to set it at an exact temperature.

The unit is sleek and easy to operate. I am using in my west facing home office to help keep computers and myself cool. The unit has started to blow hot air rather than cold intermittently now that the temperature in Phoenix is warming up. I have to reset the unit and most of the time it starts cooling but I wonder how it is going to work when the summer heat really kicks in. I have had this for 6 mos. Other experiences with LG products have all been great so I hope this problem can be fixed.

i got this AC Unit to cool my sun drenched living room in the summer. It kept my living room comfortable. I was not cold but I wasn't sweating. I also am guilty of trying to use only one unit for some serious square footage. Based off the unit's instructions, I need 2 AC units for my living room. I found more success using the timer and cooling it before I got home. It's pretty loud but it becomes white noise, friends and family didn't notice it. i'm buying another one for my bedroom for the summers.

We bought this at the end of the season. We didn't think we would get to use it until next summer, but we had a few warm days and were able to try it out. It was easy to set up and worked beautifully. We no longer have to put and take out a window unit. Looking forward to using it next summer. I would recommend this to anyone looking to find an easier way to cool down any space you are in.

Out of the box easy to set up. Cooling capacity is more than I needed for my 9 x 13 room. The noise doesn't bother me - lulls me to sleep at night. The only downfall is that the digital display only shows the temperature you want the room set at. It does not display the actural temperature of the room while running/cooling. I've had three other portable room air conditioners made by other companies in the past and this LG is by far the best.

we bought this cooler this hot summer and it made such an improvement to our room temp we thought we should have gotten it sooner. like the remote and timer feature i use that the most. love that you can fall asleep with it on and it wont run all night.

I've been very pleased with this a/c unit. It's cooling about half my home right now. It was very easy to setup and operate. It's worked perfectly so far and I've had it about 4 weeks and have used it everyday.

We bought this Air Conditioner, when the Temp was 99 degrees outside, the day before the Fourth of July. I was insistant with my husband that we not go home without a unit. We went to two Home Depots, and they sold it to us. When we got home it took about an hour to set it up, our windows are very tall. We let it run all evening, and all night. It was wonderful to wake up cool. This unit cooled our entire upper floor. It is larger than recommended, but it did a great job. I have already recommended it to friends, and a few bought them too. We now have it put up for the winter, and it was a breeze to take out of the window, empty the water out, clean the little filter, and put back in the same plastic bag for storage. We loved the timer, we set it before going to work, and it was very cool in the house when we arrived home. The Cleaning feature is easy to use as well. Just push a button, and it is clean. Love this product. We thought about another unit just for our bedroom, maybe next spring.
