Like using your cell phone at home but don't like carrying it around? Now you can make and receive cell phone calls though your multi-handset home phone with the Bluetooth-powered Panasonic Link-to-Cell. Link-to-Cell harnesses the power of Bluetooth to combine the freedom of your cell phone and the convenience of a home phone. By linking your cell phone to the Bluetooth-powered Panasonic Link-to-Cell, you can make or receive calls on all compatible Panasonic home phone handsets. Don't want to be without your cell phone's phonebook? No problem. With Link-to-Cell's Phonebook Transfer feature, you can transfer up to 600 names and numbers from your cell phone to the built-in handset directory via Bluetooth. Link-to-Cell also features Bluetooth headset connectivity so you can keep the conversation going and your hands free. Perfect for those times when you're talking but need to walk around your office or home, open drawers, flip through files or write.
  • Dect 6.0 Plus
DECT Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction by up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, our DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.
  • Talking Caller ID
Now you can hear who's calling from across the room without having to get up. Using text-to-speech technology, Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID announce caller ID information in between rings. What could be more convenient?
  • 1.8" White Backlit Handset Display
See who’s calling at a glance on our wide, 1.8-inch LCD and set screen. Featuring black text against a white-backlit display, it’s crystal clear and easy to read–even from a short distance away.
  • LED Light-Up Indicator
Now, you can know when a call’s coming in or if you have a message—even if you’re vacuuming or listening to music. A large, bright LED indicator on top of the handset lights up when you get a call or a message, so you’ll always be connected.
  • Easy-to-Use Big Buttons
We streamlined our keypad to include fewer buttons while also making them larger. No more fumbling to find the right key, and no more dialing the wrong number.
    • Amplified Handset Volume with Dedicated Volume Key
    • Intelligent Eco Mode
    • Tone Equalizer
    • Call Block
    • Silent Mode

I bought the KX-TG4771B and my only mistake was not getting the double handset model as I love this phone, period. Large displays on both the base and handset make getting the reading glasses unnecessary. The whole feature package from Call Block, to Talking Caller ID, makes this phone so feature packed, they really had to resort to the use of # codes from the handset. If there was a button or menu item for each feature, you would be spending tons of time navigating menus. As it is, with the tons of features, they made it easy to set it and forget it. Finally...I control my calls, not the other way around. They missed the boat with one tiny thing...it would be nice if the large buttons on the base unit lit up like on the handset...making it easier to dial in dim lighting. The biggest plus by far...people are complaining that my Speakerphone booms like the voice of God...so I keep it off the maximum volume settings. The sound quality of this phone is second to none. This is truly a quality phone answering SYSTEM and if you are as picky as I am...look no further.

The clarity of this phone is outstanding and the display is excellent, as is the feature set available on the handset. Where it falls down mainly is the base unit. Most of the features implemented on the handsets (for example, call blocking) are inexplicably not available on the base unit, limiting its utility. Also the base unit keys emit a loud annoying tone when pressed which cannot be turned off. Conversely, the buttons on the base unit have a positive, crisp feel, yet those on the handsets are mushy. Overall, this could have been an excellent system if it had been thought through a little better.

I was so pleased with my purchase of these phones, that I did recommend it to a friend. She then ordered it, and when it comes, we will install it for her. My daughter & I were able to set up the phones by ourselves, following the instructions on the box & in the instruction book. It was much easier to do than to have another phone jack installed.

I purchased this product for a home office for a landline connection. I wanted a system that would work in a power outage. This fills the bill and phones are very clear. Three handsets plus the desk set fit my needs as I planned. Can use the speakerphone function on desk set so I can access my computer while taking calls.

                  Best Uses

This is the same phone that I already own - I bought it for my daughter (after we tried 3 other phones, including the newer Panasonic KX-TGE272S, as well as the NEXT--level to this "old" phone - KX-TG7873S - BOTH OF which DID have 250 entries for CALL BLOCK). WE HAD TO REVERT TO THIS LINE... The reason we were looking to a different model is some-fold; 1) THE MAIN: ONLY 30 entries available for CALL BLOCK; 2) Newer phone lacked 3 ADD BOOK/MENU/CELL buttons underneath the DISPLAY; 3) "SPEAKERPHONE" & "CALL WAIT/FLASH" buttons were VERY INCONVENIENTLY placed BELOW the keypad, forcing you to use 2 (TWO) hands (!?!) - try it yourselves! 4) This phone is slightly larger than the new ones - MAKING IT MUCH EASIER to hold for those who prefer to do so, as well as being steady when put vertically on the table, etc. 5) Sound quality, SPEAKERPHONE and pairing/SOUND quality with the bluetooth headset (with a separate BUTTON on the BASE) on THIS PHONE is far much better that NEWER ones (UNFORTUNATELY!); AND NOW - THE SUGGESTIONS: 1) BIG DISADVANTAGE is NOT being able to SYNC/UPLOAD the ADDRESS BOOK back to my CELL PHONE: after initial DOWNLOAD from cellphone, I saved over 30-40 NEW NUMBERS on my phone system, that I have NO WAY of SYNCing with address book on the cellphone, or to COMPUTER/OUTLOOK - preferably). IS IT POSSIBLE TO WRITE A FIRMWARE UPDATE - to do it USING BLUETOOTH connection (well, there is NO USB port on this phone)? 2) Being familiar with the DATABASES, I know it should not be very difficult to put MULTIPLE CALLER-ID entries from THE SAME PHONE NUMBER INTO AN ARRAY (with direct dates/times - to which you get by RIGHT ARROW (on the CENTER) that you can BROWSE only if you want to) - instead of BROWSING THRU MANY entries of the same number; 3) REDIAL LIST could have MORE ENTRIES, say at least 30 - 50 if added the THE ABOVE - IT would make it THE GREATEST PHONE I OWNED (I still have an OLD wall phone, other Panasonic phones gave to charity, etc..). Have to add that ALL my OLDER (still! )and NEWER Panasonic equipment/appliances WORK: VCR (use to convert VCR tapes to DVD), Vacuum cleaners (2)... VERY GOOD PRODUCTS! Thank you.

I have only used Panasonic phones. I have them in two houses. They are dependable and durable. Last long and have an excellent range. The best part is I can program the phone to reject calls by name and number from repeat tela-marketers. This feature makes this phone my all time favorite.

This set up was what I wanted, a combination land line and cordless telephone. So far, everything has worked well and is user friendly, which is what I need. The ONLY thing about which I am disappointed is the feature which verbally announces incoming call identification. The clarity of the speech is so bad that my wife and I cannot understand what is being said. I wonder if there is something that can be done about that. Other than that, it was a good buy for us. I would have to say that many years ago we purchased nice Panasonic phones for us and two others for my two daughters. They all went bad after a few months. I could not get any satisfactory resolution to the problem and decided never to buy Panasonic phones again. I changed my mind and think it will be a good move.
