Panasonic microwaves are the best!
By L1 Chef
Replaced our 20 year old Panasonic Microwave with this new stainless steel one. Old one still worked, but wanted a new clean look for our recently remodeled kitchen. Can't go wrong with Panasonic.
Compact and Powerful Microwave

About Me Avid Cook
Replaced a large (1.2 cu ft, 1250 watt) LG with this little gem. I takes up much less counter space than the old unit, and there is more storage space on top. We got the stainless steel exterior despite reviews that complained it smudged easily and is hard to clean. That hasn't been our experience. We were worried that the "inverter technology" was a gimmick, but we love it. It seems to heat food more evenly, and leaves leftovers (our primary use) much more enjoyable. We aren't seeing the dry spots and cold spots the old oven left. We also worried that the smaller oven might be underpowered, leaving us cooling our heels while lunch got warm. This oven seems to heat just as quickly as the much more powerful older oven, though. This isn't the least expensive mircowave, but we shopped around and got a great price at Abt. This unit is certainly worth the extra money to us!

This microwave is very quiet. I am 86 years old and have had many microwaves in the past. This is the best .
Great until - low profile, good capacity
from New York, NY
Really like this oven. Low profile but good capacity for size. Very nice design. Controls are a little different than my older microwave and take a little bit go getting used to.

We need a smaller microwave to fit the space in our little kitchen - we looked at everything, and Panasonic wins, hands down. Best quality & great features - we are very happy with this microwave.

Minimal control over seconds
from Deerfield, IL
About Me Can't Cook
I need to take cat food out of the fridge and warm it for 12 seconds but this microwave only allows 10 seconds or 15 seconds or 20 seconds. The food needs to be warmed to just warmer than room temp and not burn the cat's mouth. It was highly rated by Consumer Reports and I shopped by Internet but I didn't think to check whether there were number buttons available.

Good performance for a smaller microwave
from Chicago, IL
Our other microwave broke after 10 or more years. I wanted a smaller one to replace it, but most of the compact microwaves have poor reviews. This one is a compromise. Not as powerful as our previous one, but smaller so it fits better in the space. It's very difficult to find a good smaller microwave! (It's not as small as a compact though, so be sure to check the measurements if this is important to you.) It's easy to operate, easy to clean, and looks nice. So far it's done a decent job. I use it more as a tool in my cooking -- for defrosting, heating things, melting things, etc. At those tasks it performs fine. I was concerned that the revolving tray might not be large enough, but it fits a dinner plate, which is my minimum requirement. All in all, a good product.
Service and delivery comments:
Very prompt delivery, arrived in fine condition. Good service from Abt.
Happy with microwave
from Fountain Valley, CA
I recently purchased this microwave and have been using it for about one month. I especially like the "Keep Warm" feature which is hard to get in other ovens. The size and the 950 Watts are perfect for my space. The one thing I hate about it is the problem keeping the front of the oven free from smudges and fingerprints. It's very hard to keep clean because the smudges don't seem to come off.
