I enjoy using my new oven! It is easy to use, heats up fast and I like the features that are included like the easy clean bottom. My old cabinet opening was too large so I had to use the FIT system, but a warning... remember it only fits vertically, not horizontally so my custom cabinet maker had to custom fit it and Whirlpool paid for it. Also, seeing that it is convection oven it has a fan that runs at all times even after the oven is off to cool it so I had to get used to the fan sound as I did not have convection before.

This oven has a fan that runs all the time NOT just in convection mode.Very poor design regarding the vent system. Touch controls require a hard push (not really touch control) I bought another small oven just so I don't have to listen to this one during any cycle. Wasted my money this time. Don't you.........

Comments about Whirlpool Black Single Electric Wall Oven:
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The oven is too hot on the top, so everything ends up brown on top and uncooked on the bottom. But the worst part is that several times I turn it on, it says preheating, and then the temperature doesn't go up after 20 minutes plus of waiting. Or, I adjust the temperature and it might display a temperature and say preheating, but then it isn't actually heating and I come back to find it has lost over 100 degrees and isn't doing anything. My oven was horrible from day one. Either I have a lemon, or these other reviewers haven't ever had a good oven. Don't buy it, get pretty much anything else.

This is a really nice oven and larger inside than our previous 36" oven, although smaller outside. We had to shim the wall opening to make it fit. It fits nicely with our kitchen decor and does a good job of baking, both convection and regular. We did have to adjust the temperature upwards by 20 deg. to make the average interior temp. match the setting. and there is an air whistle when baking. I wish they had included a meat probe and halogen interior lights.

You know when it is on

When the oven runs it makes a noise I assume it is fans, but even after the meal is done and the dishes cleared you can hear the fans running. Eventually it does stop, but there was no explanation of this in the manual. It is annoying. All the rest is good. I can only recommend this with reservations, because of the noise which my earlier Whirlpool oven did not make.
Wish I had two!

Installed in our new build. The only thing I miss is having a double oven but this works great!

I purchased this in Nov. in time for Thanksgiving. Roasted a 26 lb. turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pies! Not all at once but at least 5 items were in the oven at one time. Everthing came out wonderful. The turkey was browned perfectly. I used the convection feature and it was done in record time.

Had this oven for 2 months. Meets or exceeded expectations. Bigger than our previous oven and better lighting.
Like the looks but not the performance

We replaced our old Whirlpool because of a kitchen remodel. We like the looks of the new oven but it is terribly noisy and does not bake as evenly as the old one. The heat range allows it to cool down 30 or more degrees before it brings the temp back up. We have to add time to everything we bake.
Do not use self clean!

It would be interesting to hear from some of these reviewers after a few months of use. My oven blew the thermal fuse after THE FIRST self clean cycle. It was past the 1 year warranty date, so Whirlpool would do nothing. Use the steam clean option only or choose another oven.

We visited a store that was about to move and clearing out their floor models. We were in the market for a replacement 24" wall oven, but after some careful measurements went for the this 30" model. We were surprised a little by the fan that comes on even in "non convection" mode, but this oven is a fantastic addition to our kitchen.

2 New built in ovens.
I bought 2 of these ovens, one built in the new island and one where the previous slide in oven was located. I am very pleased with the performance of the ovens. The convection feature is new to me, and I have been surprised by the shorter cook times. The shorter cook times have to save $$. I can fit up to 3 casseroles in each oven, very nice at the holidays.
