We've had this dryer for one week now; purchased it along with the matching compact washer. The dryer works great, is very easy to use, and has great capacity given its compact size. It has a kind of retro look and feel with knobs and levers rather than complicated digital controls (that can break easily!) My only complaint is that it is noisy. Not the dryer itself, per se, but the exhaust. I hardly noticed the noise going through the dryer vent from our previous model (Maytag Neptune), but this little one really makes a lot of noise in carrying the exhaust outside. Also, it has no audible signal that the cycle is complete. Great value, excellent for a small space!

This dryer certainly does the job when you only have a small space to work with. It stacks on top the washer and has most any setting combination you could want, including sensor dry. I only wish it had a bigger capacity, but in the compact market ones choices are limmited. I question the use of both a power and start button. The power button doesn't automatically turn off at the end of the cycle. I usually forget to push it off. Other than that minor design item, this dryer certainly does the job.

So Far So Good!
I recently purchased this dryer along with the matching washer and I must say that it's been a pleasant surprise. It has some great features and holds quite a bit of laundry for its petite size! I also like that it's a manual dryer without a computer board so there's less to go wrong, which may require repairs in the future. Of course there is noise when its running, but nothing out of the ordinary and is to be expected I suppose. If it were a bit quieter, I would have given it 5 stars :)

We don't have any complaints about this dryer so far.

This dryer is about the best we have had so far. We can't think of anything that we dislike about it. OH; One thing. The door would be better if it opened a bit further than 45 degree angle. Other than that we love it.
Great for small spaces
Bought this for a second home, with limited space in the mud room. Works fine, though a little noisy. my only complaint--one mentioned elsewhere--is that the sound that tell you the load is dry can't be turned off. It keeps buzzing and then turning (to prevent wrinkles, I guess) until you remove the load.

We have a tiny closet for the dryer. It fits nicely in there. It doesnt hold a ton but it works for us because we line dry a lot. It dries very quick and i love that it has no back vent, no need for a dryer hole. The only thing i hate is the alarm. It goes off periodically for like an hour and keeps the dryer going instead of just shutting off.
Great bang for the buck!

This dryer is as good as the European models I've owned in the past. After spending twice as much for dryers with this footprint, with a shorter warranty and very short life span, I am thrilled with my Maytag dryer. The lint filter is a bit awkward to empty, and the dryer got much too hot at the end of a full day of heavy use - but otherwise this is very well made. I am waiting for my German-made washer to bite the dust (it's close) so I can buy the complimentary washing machine! Even though the appliance fits under a counter top, it easily accommodates a full laundry basket of clothes/heavy towels.
Great space saver

When you only have a limited space for your laundry center (a closet) this dryer fits the bill. Its been six months of use and it has been working very well and my laundry has turned out clean and dry every time!
still wet after all these cycles
from South Carolina
This is a smaller capacity model. I thought for a single guy, it would more than meet my needs. Boy, was I wrong! If it doesnt get a hour to attempt to dry a load of clothing, it is wet after 20/40 minutes. Almost guaranteed. Loud at the very end, when it appears to be spinning at a fantastic speed. But it fools me 9/10 times and clothing isnt ready to come out. 2 or 3 attempts and it's ready.

Good apartment/condo option for price
from Chicago, IL
The capacity and performance are great for a smaller design dryer, the only thing I don't like is that I usually put a load in before I go to bed, and when the cycle is over, you have to physically go and shut the machine off or it will periodically cycle and beep. The beep is what is annoying, but it eventually shuts off after about a half hour. There is no option to silence the beep. Overall not a bad option amoung the smaller dryers, especially if you don't want to pay for a European model.
I love my maytag dryer. nothing compares to the dryer.
the dryer is so dependable and I would not purchase any other product than a Maytag
