This machine does an excellent job! We did our king size comforter and it came out looking like new after having it for years. Stains in my clothes are starting to come out. It has made doing laundry fun. "lets see if the machine can get this out"

Have had machine for approx 1 month now with no issues at all. Both washer and dryer are on pedestals which makes loading and unloading easy. Machine is easy to use and as previous owners have stated: wipe down door and inside rubber seal after each wash. Leave door cracked open (u can hardly tell it is open) This will prevent damp odor from drum. Compared to our last machine (top loader) difference is night and day. Got a great deal on washer and dryer and would highly recommend machine to anyone considering a front loader.

I was forced to return this washer for a refund because it would not work properly with my high-efficiency tankless water heater. The washer does not so much wash clothes as it does 'play' with them. Instead of simply filling the tub and getting on with washing, it first bounces them around intermittently, while periodically squirting hot water on them a second or two at a time. This happens many, many times in a row at the beginning of the wash cycle. The result is that the water heater is triggered to come on, but then has to shut down immediately because the washer quit drawing hot water. As a result, the washer never gets hot water and the water heater gets excess wear and tear. LG set up an in-warranty service call, but the repair people informed me that this was 'normal' operation. Do not buy a high-efficiency washer like this if you have a tankless water heater without a recirculation system (which would defeat the savings of a tankless heater anyway).

It was a big step for me to go from a top to a front loading washer, but I'm sold. The laundry comes out so clean and well-spun. The big capacity lets me get more done at a time. I love all the specialized settings and the fact that I can modify those settings. I love the way the washer senses the size of the load before it starts the washing. I like the tune the machines play when they're finished. Plus they're very sleek looking.

I already knew this 3470 HVA and dryer counterpart were the best units out there based on my research, so it no surprise they are meeting all my expectations. Specifically: They look great. Not that my laundryroom gets a lot of visitors... but, they are cool. They sound great. Kinda like a day at the airport starting up the jet's engines. Ok, not quite but kinda. They have a way cool control panel. Not as cool as an airbus but still neat. They wash and dry great. Obviously the most important part. My wife is very impressed and that doesn't happen with stuff very often. Way to go ladies and gentlemen!

I love how easy user friendly this product is. I read the booklet a little. Found I really could just follow the hints from the washer it self. The notifacation that the laundry is done is very soothing not the loud noise with the older machines that I usually turned off. Thank you Mrs West.

We have had this front load washer for approximately 2 months. This washer replaced our previous front load which was a Whirlpool. We will never go back. Washer is pretty quiet. My clothes come out so clean and when they are ready for the dryer I have found that the last spin cycle does such a good job that dryer time is considerably less.

We were a little nervous about going to a front load machine from conventional ones, but this machine has changed our minds. Our clothes come out cleaner than ever before. Not to mention the look cool in our laundry room!
