I have to say that the looks of this washer get's me compliments from everyone that comes to my house even the men! Aside though from the looks this washer runs better than any washer my family has used. The options are endless, steam function that is great for santizing clothes, comfortors and sheets when we are sick. The little ring it makes when its done really is neat and helps us get the wash done faster because it just don't sit there until we get back to see if the cycle is done running. Being able to program the exact time you want it to run in certain modes is such a huge money and time saver for us and that's what really makes all the difference at the end of the day! This washer has definitely over exceeded our expectations and we would never buy any other washer again in the future unless this brand with the functions it has is available to us!

I'm not happy with the washer. My main issues are machine noise and scent of the washed items. The washer is either extremely quiet or extremely loud, depending on where it is in the cycle. During the spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine revving up and there is a thumping noise. I keep checking to make sure the machine is balanced on the floor, and it is. Even something as benign as water filling the machine is loud, with these repetitive short bursts of loud water pressure, which jolt the hose so much it thwaps back against the wall every time the water stops. Clothes don't come out smelling very nice. It's a more neutral smell, with arm pit areas still having some body odor. I've taken to using two dryer sheets just to try to get that nice scent I'm used to. I've washed brand new items that have that slightly chemically smell and the chemical odor doesn't come out. I've also tried using the pre-wash feature but it didn't help the odor issue and it ruined one of my favorite washable wool sweaters, which had done just fine in the gentle cycle of my old machine. I also find having to wipe the door a nuisance and think this is a design flaw that the consumer is forced to compensate for. I don't even know if wiping is going to work in the long run. My sister has had her front loader for a year, and I walked into her laundry room the other day and it reaked of mildew odor. I thought great, is this what I have to look forward to, long after the return grace period when I am officially stuck with this washer. I was expecting a low water level, but what I see is no water level. It's basically wet clothes tumbling around. I don't know if that's normal. It doesn't look like the graphics I've seen which show a quarter to a third of the machine filled with water. Even the chirpy tune annoys me now because I don't feel chirpy about this machine. I feel like the consumer has been forced into these HE front loaders. I really just wanted a high quality old style top loader with an agitator, but such a machine does not exist. The non-HE top loaders with agitators are now the budget option, with few features and lots of negative user reviews. So I decided to go with the flow and buy a front loader because I didn't want a cheapy machine. But now that I'm dissatisfied with this front loader I don't feel like there's a washer out there for me. I know there are others like me, so I don't know why the manufacturers don't offer at least one high end model of the old style.

This washer has changed my thinking on laundry. I enjoy doing it now. I can't get over how well it works. The turbo setting washes heavy cotton loads in just 37 minutes, and they are so well wrung out that the dryer time is less than I was used to. The capacity is huge. I washed 6 navy bath towels and 5 pairs of jeans together and had no problem. I am so happy with this machine.

I sold LG for a number of years and was always impressed with their quality and innovation. The first time I worked with them showing to a customer, I realized that the dial was like turning the dial on a bank safe. The rest was history. As to innovation, they always seemed come out with new features before anyone else. They weren't just glitz, but were really a benefit to the consumer. Recently I found myself in need of a new washer and of course we bought this model. My and I wife love it.

We bought this hoping that it would help our water problem in the basement. It has done that superbly, plus it is so easy to use, cleans much better than its predecessor, the clothes are much drier when they come out and costs us less to dry them. The controls are easy to use, everything is laid out well and both my wife and I enjoy using it. Steam cleaning is great!

I bought this washer as a replacement for a 12 year old top loader. The old washer was adequate, but I was surprised to see that clothes were visibly cleaner with the new LG (noticeable with whites.) Drying times are down as clothes come out of the washer much drier than before. It also uses considerably less water than the old washer. I'm counting on the decreased drying time and water use to help offset the higher cost of this machine over less expensive top loaders. I use the wide variety of standard and optional settings much more than I expected. I've only had the washer a month so can't comment on the quality.

I love everything about my LG steam washer! I have had my washer for several yeras, with no problems! The steam feature is fantastic for getting out the heavy stains, or just refreshing my dry cleanables so that I get several more wearings before I have to take them in to the dry clearns. This is a tremendous cost saver! It is easy to use, large capacity, and I have yet to have any probems with it! I am moving, and I imagine the buyer of my home will want my washer and dryer - if that is the case - I will buy another LG set when I get to the other side!

Past experience with a front load machine had me concerned about badly wrinkled clothes. This has not proven to be the case with this washer. My two slight frustrations at the moment are finding an he detergent that works well in cold water and the signal is too quiet to be heard when anything else in the house is on!
