This oven replaces a previous, much older model of the same type. So I knew it would be noisy, but this new one is even noisier then the old one. It sounds like the wind noise you hear when there is a hurricane outside and the winds force their way thru the window sides. Takes me back to my youth in Florida.Preheating takes about 5 minutes longer than previously. Apparently a result of the covered element on the bottom. Tho once preheated it does a very good job of properly cooking.Convection is better than before as the additional element (I think surrounding the convection fan) roasts food quickly and evenly.Don't ever remove a door, we had to and getting it back on created way more work and effort than it's worth. Call the repair man! And be sure to use the enclosed grommets for screwing the unit to the cabinet if you do a self install, or the porcelain can get damaged.Overall, good quality oven, cooks well, easy to use. Too noisy and slow to preheat,

The oven vents at the bottom into the kitchen. Oven was venting at high temperatures. Oven was checked out - installation perfect, thermostat perfect, seals perfect. Before oven even finished preheating, 128 degree hot air was pouring into kitchen. This is the design, and there was nothing that could be fixed. Apparently the venting temperature is within an acceptable range to Whirlpool and the oven works according to Whirlpool specs. Bottom line: I am left with an oven that I consider unusable unless I am willing to have my kitchen heat up to 128 degrees or more. This problem voids any good features. BUYER BEWARE! THERE IS NO RECOURSE! I HAVE TRIED!

Oven is too loud and doesn't heat consistently.
Comments about Whirlpool White Electric Double Wall Oven:
I have always owned Whirlpool appliances, so when I remodeled my kitchen I chose Whirlpool. What a mistake. Ovens sound like an airplane motor and doesn't stay at the correct temperature. Hate it.

Comments about Whirlpool Stainless Double Electric Wall Oven:
Many of the existing reviews discuss the fan noise and the greenish doors. Perhaps it's because my prior wall ovens did not have a fan, but I find the fan somewhat loud and annoying. How it compares to others, I don't know. The doors do have a greenish tint which, while not obnoxious, would be better without. On the plus side, the interior of the 27" oven is much larger than the one it replaced.

The oven makes a lot of noise. Ouse continues through cool down which takes awhile. Otherwise it is ok.

The oven bakes well, but the racket it produces during baking and for a long time after is aggravating. There is a loud fan noise accompanied by a howling noise and occasional banging noises as it heats up. I had the repair people come and they said these noises were normal for this oven. If you are hard of hearing, this oven is for you.

Bought this after Thanksgiving for the Christmas holidays. Made over 750 cookies, 12 loaves of bread and sweet rolls, holiday dinners from appetizers to desserts and of course daily use. The first night was homemade pizza and many since then. So far, so good and happy with the results.
After struggling with a 24 year old set of ovens, I finally gave up and sought out the ovens that would do for me all that I required. What I found in these ovens is that they exceeded my expectations and I am a very happy home chef! Thank you, Whirlpool!
