This oven replaces a previous, much older model of the same type. So I knew it would be noisy, but this new one is even noisier then the old one. It sounds like the wind noise you hear when there is a hurricane outside and the winds force their way thru the window sides. Takes me back to my youth in Florida.Preheating takes about 5 minutes longer than previously. Apparently a result of the covered element on the bottom. Tho once preheated it does a very good job of properly cooking.Convection is better than before as the additional element (I think surrounding the convection fan) roasts food quickly and evenly.Don't ever remove a door, we had to and getting it back on created way more work and effort than it's worth. Call the repair man! And be sure to use the enclosed grommets for screwing the unit to the cabinet if you do a self install, or the porcelain can get damaged.Overall, good quality oven, cooks well, easy to use. Too noisy and slow to preheat,

The oven vents at the bottom into the kitchen. Oven was venting at high temperatures. Oven was checked out - installation perfect, thermostat perfect, seals perfect. Before oven even finished preheating, 128 degree hot air was pouring into kitchen. This is the design, and there was nothing that could be fixed. Apparently the venting temperature is within an acceptable range to Whirlpool and the oven works according to Whirlpool specs. Bottom line: I am left with an oven that I consider unusable unless I am willing to have my kitchen heat up to 128 degrees or more. This problem voids any good features. BUYER BEWARE! THERE IS NO RECOURSE! I HAVE TRIED!

Love the oven
from Apple Valley, Ca
I purchased this oven about 1 month ago, I really like the fact that it's a convection oven it cooks everything great and when you set the timer on it turns off the oven. The only thing I don't like about the oven is it makes a loud noise when it's cooling down.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This was a replacement oven for one (Whirlpool) I had two years and had repeated problems. I have already had two service calls on this new one--error message on control board and now one oven does not come up to temperature.Fan is LOUD--better on this 2016 model than the 2014, but still irritating.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Lots of room

Replaced an existing double oven with this one and have much more cooking space inside even though the outside measurements were the same. No problem baking, does well. Would like to see the time display centered. It is on the right side of the display and you are unable to see the full time if you aren't almost in front of it. Would also like to see the lettering of the controls to be bold. They are white on a gray background.

The new oven looks really nice. However, two problems stand out significantly. The fan that runs from the time it's turned on until it's completely cool is extremely loud with a high pitched whistle/whine also--it's louder than my washer, dryer, and dishwasher all running at the same time. I know it needs a fan to keep the electronics cool but it's hard to carry on a conversation in the living room over the noise from the oven in the kitchen. The other issue is that the temperature control doesn't seem accurate. The manual says I may have to adjust it 5 degrees and not to use independent thermometers but it seems to be running at least 50 degrees cooler than the setting both according to an oven thermometer and the way the food cooks.

Excellent oven right up to the point you turn it on. Fan noise to be expected, but the incessant whistling wind noise is unacceptable. This oven was a replacement for an old but very reliable GE product. If this is really the way new ovens are intended to operate, which I cannot believe is the case, then dealers really should be obligated to inform potential customers.

I bought this double oven a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It is easy to use and cooks great. The glass in the doors have a green tint. Other than that, I am pleased with it.

Nice oven but...
from Centennial, Co
This oven replaces a Whirlpool microwave and oven combination. This oven was 1/2 inch wider and we had to enlarge the wall opening, The installation was easy. We like the double oven and the clean lines. Controls are easy to read and the oven heats well and is easy to use. The fan is louder then expected. (On when the oven is heating and cooling.) We find it intrusive and annoying. We purchased the oven at a national home improvement retailer for over 25% less than retail, so we can live with the louder then expected fan noise. If the fan was more muted, it would be a great oven.
