My wife and I recently purchased this unit at the local hardware store based purely on the salesman's recommendation. We knew we wanted a front-load washer but which brand? I must say we couldn't be more pleased with it. Everything from the look of it to the performance is 5 star. Even the delivery guys were ranting about what a top-notch unit the LG is. My first impression was how nearly dry the clothes come out after the intense spin cycle is finished which by the way requires even less time now in the dryer. The design and location of the detergent and softener tray is very nice and easy to remove for cleaning. The machines seems to do a very nice job of cleaning our clothes and the fresh smell is overwhelming. I love the fact that the clothes agitate themselves from the front load tumbling inside. This unit uses very little water and detergent. Can you say money-saver. We bought this unit to replace on older top-load Kenmore which required alot of water and detergent. I only wish we had purchased this LG unit months ago. We find ourselves washing everything in the house now including drapes, comforters, blankets, jackets, etc. you name it. It 's a powerful machine and it really does the job. There are plenty of options to choose from as well. We really love it.

I like my washer. I wish some of the controls were easier to locate and use. The End of Cycle signal is hard to locate and there is no display to reflect the setting. The True Balance Technology (Anti-Vibration System) does not seem to work. This machine vibrates just as much or more than the 10 year old Bosch machine it replaced. The filter clean out is a pain!! It takes forever for the water drain completely and water always ends up on the floor. The machine does a good job cleaning the laundry. The load capacity is great. Our King size quilt and shams are now washed at home. Cycles times are long so I do not allow laundry to accumulate for more than 2 or 3 days. I feel the decision to discontinue this machine was a good one. I just wish I had been made aware of that BEFORE I bought it.

Love my red washer!

I have this washer for almost 3 years and love it. I do about 1 load a day on average. Cleans clothes well and has many cleaning options. Love the song it plays when the wash is done, much more civilized than a buzzer. Warranty is great, had a minor problem and was fixed at no cost to me.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros: Very energy and water efficient. Can wash the clothes pretty fast if they aren't soiled. Cons: Does get loud, especially in the room below it.

I have used this washer more than 2 yrs now, so far I not impress of it. It does not wash good and the spin cycle only removes some of the water, items still wet. when it comes to cloning the filer is in the wrong spot LG faces us to purchase the pedestal to expensive for a box. it should have been giving free since is a design flaw. Features choices are great I personal think this machine should had been recall back.

I've had my washer for over 3 years now, and haven't had any problems. My washer is so quiet I forget it's on, until I hear this signal that it is finished.

We have had this machine for less than 2 years and it has had 3 major breakdowns. All 3 times it has been the same fault, requiring a drum replacement. Luckily we took out the extended warranty so we have not had to pay for the repair, but each time requires one of us to take time off work to be at home at least twice, once for the repairer to assess the fault, then a second time once the parts have arrived, so it has still cost us.
