As a lover of gas, I have been researching this electric option for almost a year. When I had had it with my builder grade stove, imade the leap to induction, and haven't regretted it in the least. I was looking at some of the expensive brands, but decided theWhilpool had the same BTUs and features as some of the elite stoves. The placement of the burners, and the control panel are functional and easily monitored. Having the ability to set a timer for each burner was an added bonus, especially for times when I am multitasking! Excellent product! Thank you to their et cooks who must have designed this!

I love my new induction range. I have used every feature and find all easy to use. I like the safety features--if you don't have a pot on the burner it will beep. I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.

After owning this for two months, I do admit this induction oven is pretty neat! Overall, it cooks very quick, quiet, and doesn't emits heat to the air like gas stove does. It only cooks on metal contacts! I was skeptical when I bought this online because of the poor picture quality, but it really looks good in real life. It is easy to clean and child safe! My only concern about this oven is that I can still smell a burning metal smell everytime I use the oven. I don't know if because it is new and will go away overtime, but i only used the oven 3 times and I think smell is lighter now. My other problem with this stove or probably any induction stove is the selective choices of steel pots. My aluminum, glass, anodized pots and pans are going to GoodWill because its useless, but who needs cheap pots when you can afford an expansive stove like this anyway right?

My main focus of this review is the Induction top. I have always cooked on gas ranges (45 + years). The home we just moved into is all electric and I have been having a horrible time adapting. We looked into getting gas installed but there was just no easy way to have it done. So I started researching Induction ranges. Took me a while to locate one at a store to actually look at. It wasn't hooked up to try out but at least I could get a feel for how it would work. Took a gamble and bought it. I have to say it is amazing. It definitely heats up quick. I can put 2 1/2 quarts of tap water in a 3 quart pan and it will be a rolling boil in just over 3 minutes. The number system for heat adjustments is very easy to use and understand. I think the biggest drawback to purchasing one is that even the salesmen are not very educated in there use. When I inquired if I could use my cast iron pans on it, I got a very definitive "NO" but when I made him drag out the owners manual to verify that, it stated it was OK to use them. He was shocked. I've learned: * They do make noise on the lower settings. You hear the magnet pulse. No big deal, makes a light clicking sound. * The surface does get hot under the pan. But you can put your hand within a 1/2" from the pan and the surface of the range is still cool. * I have a flat bottomed Wok and it works wonderfully on this range. * It is amazingly easy to clean * It is incredibly responsive to heat adjustments. * The kitchen stays cooler. * The stove top meals cook quicker, so I am spending less time in the kitchen. Drawbacks, only a few: * I have not found a non-stick skillet that will work on it. No biggie to me * You can't use a 2 burner grill pan. * A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If you or a family member has a pacemaker, consult with your doctor or the manufacture before you purchase. The oven functions nicely, I still prefer a gas oven, but I have no complaints with this one. I really love the interior finish on the oven and how easy it is to clean. Love the large viewing window and the split rack is a nice feature. The convection feature is easy to use.

I moved from an area with gas service to one without, so I decided to make the technology shift to Induction and Convection. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Whirlpool's units are the best value for the $$$ in my opinion in this space if you are not looking to spend an absolute fortune to make this technology upgrade. The range looks great and has great performance and is not hard to learn to work at all...Whirlpool has made it near Idiot Proof with their controls and instructions. The time is right and so is the price...time for you to upgrade!

This is as good, if not better than a gas range. I have had electric, gas and now the convection, and truly love to cook on this. I recommend this range with all its features.

I did not find online reviews for the Whirlpool induction stove so I felt li ke I was taking somewhat of a risk buying it,,, but this stove was about a grand less than the popular brand so I tried it. So happy that I did! I love to cook on this stove. Induction is wonderful, and Whirlpool did a great job on the stove. So easy to clean, beautiful in my kitchen and a joy to cook on. Very happy with this purchase.

Only issue I see is you will probably have to purchase some new pots and pans. As you shop out brands things to look for that you cannot see on the internet is the "cook top surface" I changed my decision to this Whirlpool unit when I saw the floor display next to the other brand it was a deal maker for me. I strongly suggest seeing the units on the floor display and ask alot of questions. Also look at burner size and placements on the cook top make sure you like the orientation. I also found the extended warranty from the mfg was better than the one the dealer offers. pay attention I found that the $ was very close but the factory warranty covers "electrical, mechanical, and functional" issues the dealer leave out the "functional". Convection oven plenty big @ 6.2cf work good we purchased this unit just before thanksgiving and the oven works great. I will follow up with a review in 6-months to re-review if any issues
