First I'll say I haven't used each function yet, but I am very impressed overall so far. The person before me states the light level is poor, but I do not agree. The light level is what I need and I have no complaints. I think sometimes kitchens are set up in that there isn't sufficient lighting to begin with. Why would you expect a microwave light to compensate for that? When the microwave is operating it is quiet. I am impressed with the fan, quiet and appears to be strong. I was concerned about the heat coming off my gas range but so far the auto sensor fan has not come on, so now I just wait and see if it does when I have more than two of my large burners on. The interior is sleek and nice to see instead of the standard white. I spent considerable time researching what is out there to replace my GE that died after almost 11 years, and found this one had all the features and style I was looking for.

The Good and The Bad

I bought this microwave to match our recent Whirlpool white ice refrigerator purchase. We're in the process of updating appliances and I really love the silver trim on white appearance. The Good: *Contemporary, sleek design and looks nice in the kitchen. *White Ice - Silver handles and trim on white *Low price point The Bad: *Features and performance match the low price point. This is not a high end product thought it works fine. *No express cook button *Panel is not intuitive and it takes too many steps to complete a task, "reheat" for example. *Sensor cooking is hit or miss. Sometimes food comes out too cold, sometimes too hot, and sometimes just right. *Sorry, but I really dislike the chime that tells you your food is ready. *A minor irritation but the digital clock displays "am" or "pm" and can't be turned off. It's unnecessary and just seems like clutter in an otherwise sleek design. Overall, it looks great and cooks your food but I would have preferred a higher end, white ice microwave.

I am satisfied with the Whirlpool microwave. The feature that needs attention is the sound level. It is very difficult to hear the timer. I would also like to have an Express Cook feature that would allow me to press the number 1 to cook on High for one minute, the number 2 to cook for 2 minutes and so forth.

What first caught my eye was the design....wonderful....Finally, a microwave that does not burn the popcorn....Love the way it senses and can determine how long to cook something....amazing....Have had several others before this one and none of them would be able to really compare to this one....It was a very good purchase for me!!

We purchased the White Ice color scheme in an effort to help match our current blend of white and stainless small appliances we have on our counter. Overall , it looks very nice. A new microwave was required after the magnetron on our previous Whirlpool microwave failed. It was over 7 years old and used to heat or reheat multiple times per day, so I was not overly upset when it failed, but I was hoping for 10 years out of it. Still, we bought as close to the same model available because we liked the features, especially the sensor cooking. The sensor cook feature does a great job on vegetables, potatoes, popcorn etc. And just this morning I was heating something and it blew up on the interior. The clean up took about 30 seconds with the new clean release interior. Definitely a great feature! I recommend this microwave, especially at this price point.
