My Denon Exercise Freaks arrived sooner than expected and I was eager to try them out since the last Bluetooth headset I tried to exercise with was the Motorola S9 which was a big mistake. The Exercise Freaks delivered on everything the Motorola could not. I work out everyday, whether jogging or in the gym, my music keeps me going. The quality reputation of Denon didn't disappoint. The sound quality was excellent and the sturdiness of the headset appears top notch. My only concern is the tiny tab that covers the mini usb slot which in the grand scheme of things, is not that significant. I found the headset hard to put on at first, it takes a little getting used to. I think this is because of the flexible band that wraps around the back of the head which gives it no structure to hold the separate earpieces in place, but trust me this is an excellent feature which I will get to next. The trick I have found is to place both earpieces around your ears at the same time which is a skill in itself because they wrap securely around your ears, then adjust the articulating earbuds as necessary. The reason I say the flexible band is key is because my previous Motorola had a rigid design that made it easy to put on, but was uncomfortable and nonfunctional. The rigid design did not lay flat behind my head so I could not lay back against the bench or floor, and after wearing them for a while, it felt like my head was being squeezed. The flexible band on the Exercise Freaks lays flat, is comfortable, and provides added security (it attaches to both earpieces so you don't risk losing just one). The exercise freaks are easy to use once you get used to where the controls are located. My biggest problem was getting used to having the call button on the left side because on a regular basis I wear my normal Bluetooth for hands free phone conversations on my right ear.So far, I love the Exercise Freaks because the sound quality is great, they stay securely on even through jumping and jogging, they are comfortable, and the sweat proof and anti microbial are just icing on the cake. They were just what I needed for my workouts!

I'll start by saying that Abt has been extremely helpful, and they have definitely earned my business for life.BUT... These headphones are absolutely horrible. I was so excited to see that Denon, a brand I love, finally has a pair of sweatproof bluetooth headphones. But after going through three pairs (Yes, THREE!), I give up.Strike 1: My first pair. I wore them for a couple of weeks, and actually really liked them at first. The sound was good. The battery life was good. I was happy. Until they started shorting out during my runs. Presumably from sweat. Not a great feature of set of headphones named "Exercise Freak." The shorting out got worse and worse, and until they finally died.Strike 2: Abt was happy to exchange the first pair for a new pair. But the first time I wore them, the kept shutting off randomly during my run. I thought maybe I didn't charge the battery enough, so I let it charge overnight. The next day, same thing. They wouldn't stay on for more than a few minutes without shutting off.Strike 3: Third time's a charm, right? Nope. Abt sent me a new pair, which I was really hoping would work. But this pair had an issue with the bluetooth. The range was approximately 1 foot. Completely useless for wireless headphones. You may see some reviews on the internet where people say they love these headphones. And I admit, I was happy with them at first. But they definitely are plagued with issues, and are not built to last. My recommendation is to pass on these and move on to another brand until Denon gets their act together.

Comments about Denon Exercise Freak Black Wireless In-Ear Headphones:
Even after resizing the inserts they don't seem to rotate in such a way that they fit into my ears. Often the ear bud is hanging out and just against my ear. I forgot my phone and walked to the other side of the gym and the music never stopped. they're good for accepting phone calls too. Often I'm having to work while working out which means managing people and work back at the office. The down side is that the call doesn't automatically go to the head phones I have to accept the phone call and then change to headphones, that might be an apple thing or how I answer the calls with the phone instead of the headset button. They are well fit behind my ears and don't fall of even when on the decline bench and there is no cord to get in the way which is exactly what I wanted.

About Me Frequent Traveler, Work Out Freak
I am on my third pair. My first two had failed on me. Both just stopped taking a charge. I work out everyday and I depend a lot on the equipment I use. The name is kind of deciving (Exercise Freak). The design is great and they sound great. THere are still some kinks to be worked out. These should be perfect when you spend this much on ear phones.
So far they are as advertised

About Me Gear Head
So far they are working as advertised and I have not had any issues, but I only have been using them for a month. They are comfortable, light and with a good fit in the ear, the sound is great! Easy switch from music to calls and vice versa, no one has complained of not being able to hear me, although I do find it awkward to speak with in-ear headphones (but that is any in ear headphone). There were a lot of mixed reviews about the product as far as shorting out and blue tooth reception, so I am giving it some time to see how it goes.
works great for conference calls

About Me Gym Rat
The name says it all
I work out everyday. Whether at the gym or out for a jog, I have to have my music to keep me pumped. The last Bluetooth I used was the Motorola S9, and while the sound quality was good, the design wasn't; at least not for working out. It just wasn't comfortable for any length of time because of its rigid design. Where the Motorola fell short, the Exercise Freak answered the call, which by the way, was easy to do after I got used to the call button being on the left side (because i wear my regular one eared bluetooth for hands free phone conversations on my right ear).Denon, known for its superior sound quality, did not disappoint. The flexible band across the back is extremely comfortable and secure which makes bench work easy. Motorola's rigid design did not fit close to the head so I couldn't lean back against anything without the headphones popping out. This rigid design also made me feel like my head was being squeezed after wearing it for a while which gave me a headache. I gave up on the Motorola in less than a week. The Exercise Freak on the other hand is everything the Motorola was not. Although a little difficult to put on at first, they definitely stay on through jumping, jogging, crunches, you name it. They stay on until you take them off. The articulating in ear buds fit well, which is a blessing for me because my ears are shaped wierd and earbuds don't generally stay in place for me. Overall, I would definitely recommend them to friends and family who need their music AND freedom from wires while working out
Exactly What I Wanted

About Me Avid Athlete
A few years ago I bought a pair of wireless headphones for use while rock climbing in the gym. The headphone cables running to my iPod were always in the way and I would have to run the cable up through my shirt which was really annoying so I thought I'd try wireless. The problem was that the signal was pretty awful when transmitting from my pocket. Recently, I added running to my workout and decided if I stuck with it for a month I would spend some money on a nice set of Bluetooth headphones. I ended up choosing these and they are perfect so far. It was exactly what I was looking for without the issues I had with my old pair of wireless headphones. They work flawlessly from my pocket and I no longer have to worry about the cables getting caught up in my climbing gear or when reaching for a hold. They are also great when running as I can leave the phone in the stroller while pushing my daughter and not have to stay within wire reach. The ability to play/pause, skip, rewind, and change volume right from the headphones is really great. If I don't like the song I just hit the Play button twice and it skips to the next track. This works with both Slacker and Google Music. Besides working out, I have also used them for lawn work. It's great to not have the wires get caught up in the weed-whacker, rake, or whatever tool I'm using and still be loud enough to override the engine noise. The last nicety was that the charger is a standard micro-USB so I can charge them right on my phone charging station. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice set of Bluetooth headphones.
Fantastic sound and comfort!!!

These are the greatest headphones made right now. Sleek and comfortable for working out, and AMAZING sound and clarity. They are lightweight and sweat resistant which makes for great listening while working out! And I'm even able to answer my phone while getting my swell on! Great job Denon!!!
Was very excited about this product. I knew Denon was not known for speakers and now I know why. Big disappointment. Hope Bose or Beats by Dre come out with some sweat proof earbuds for working out
