I've owned ipad 2 and HD before I regretted my choice. I made the decisions to try Samsung's new quad core, pen based tablet. And WoW! do I feel this is the best tablet to own with the current state of tab technology and it has made me happy everyday I use it. The Note runs apps effortlessly, streams movies without bogging and makes social network easy. No rebooting, no power cycling to fix frozen apps or cursing at it. I believe you are missing out a chance to enjoy a fun to use tab, if you do not experience the Note. The freedom Android OS allows is better than itunes restrictions. I use it everyday and it has replaced my i7 powered laptop with SSD for most of my entertainment uses at home.

I was leery of spending as much as I did for a Tablet, but as far as I'm concerned it was money well spent. This tab has changed my school experience for the better. I much prefer the SPen over the rubber tipped styli I tried using on the last tab I had. It is so responsive and so much more accurate. I now enjoy taking notes on a Tablet something I had given up on with my last one.The battery lasts me all day. It is a handy thing to have all of my notes and handouts in separate folders organized by class on one device. It has handled all of the files that I've thrown it's way from scanned to PDF files, Office files etc. Whether they are ones from my computer or ones I've downloaded online. I can also access all of my online class content only running into one so far that didn't work. The only fault for that was the developer using Silverlite instead of a non proprietary format. This tablet has been able to replace my laptop ( I don't even carry it to school anymore). And it's something I'd recomend to anyone.

I am a big cheerleader for all things Samsung. With that said, I really like the features and the portability of the Note. As one of more than 100 million American's with a disability, the Note with it's reduced weight and quick response enables me to use the computer for much longer periods than I ever could with a desktop or even a notebook. The only downside I have yet to see: is that the white model only comes in 16GB and the other colors come with at least double that. I would also like it if you could make the stylus a bit longer to accomodate individuals with long fingers and larger hands Thanks Samsung for making a difficult life a little bit easier.

First off, I spent a lot of time researching all the tablets available on the market today. I previously owned a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and while I loved it, found myself needing a few more features. I considered the 2 other main contenders on the market as well, but this tablet beats them by leaps and bounds. The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a simple, beautiful design. This is the only area where I could ask for anything more. I would prefer my premium tablet to have a premium feel to it. This tablet feels sturdy, and looks beautiful, but I wish it had a metal backing to it, or even a faux metal backing. As I said though, it still looks beautiful and feels good to hold. It is lightweight, meaning that I can use it for hours and it doesn't get tiresome to hold. Speaking of using it for hours, it definitely has a great battery life. Even during heavy usage, I still manage to get at least a day or two's worth of life out of each charge. This is with the display, which has a very sharp resolution, set at almost maximum brightness. The s-pen is really what sets this tablet apart from all others. I needed a tablet that I could use at school and on the go for committees I am involved in easily, and that's the big reason I went with the Galaxy Note 10.1. Unlike any other tablet on the market, this one has a unique screen technology that allows me to actually hand write school notes, including the formulas necessary for my math and science classes. The built in apps also help with this, such as S-Note. It's just like writing on a piece of paper, but digitally accessible (and if stored in the cloud, accessible from anywhere I may be at). Photoshop is awesome, as are some other after market apps I can download that allow me to draw entire pictures on the tablet. The sound quality is great, as when I am working on my laptop, I like to use the tablet set up on a stand to stream Netflix, Hulu, and my music. Other major pluses include the expandable storage, which allowed me to be a 16GB model and add a 32GB Micro SD Card to it, giving me 48GB of on board storage (I also use multiple cloud apps, including Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Skydrive, giving me practically endless storage space. I'm usually not a big fan of companies throwing in their own U.I. or apps, but I find that everything Samsung offers, including there Touchwiz U.I. and all of the Samsung Apps, are incredibly well thought out and function phenomenally. The other great features include a 5MP rear camera with flash, which is ample for a tablet, the 1.9 MP front facing camera is great for using apps such as Skype to video chat with friends & family from wherever you are, the 1.4 Ghz Quad-Core processor and along with a very well built Android OS and Samsungs Touchwiz U.I. means no lag, meaning no annoying wait time as you try to scroll or do virtually anything on the tablet. All in all, while other tablets may CLAIM to be better, there is no tablet that is as well thought out, function, and as beautiful as the Galaxy Note 10.1

Coming from an iPad 2, this was very exciting. I couldn't wait for all those features, and I was not disappointed. I sometimes notice some lag, but it's to be expected when you're running. Overall a great tablet!

I'm love with this tablet, i really don't have tell my friends or anybody why this is a better tablet, the tablet speak by themselves and already 4 of my friends went to buy it too after i got it. Really fast, the video quality it's amazing and well all that i need :)

Great product! I got the Note 10.1 after my laptop died and I have been happy with it ever since. It works well for what I need it for, which is typically bible studies, browsing the web, personal note taking (love the S Pen and S Notes), reading books, emails, and exploring apps. I love the multi-tasking abilities and the smooth interface. I carry my Note with me much like Linus carries his blanket and am learning more and more of what the unit can do on a daily basis. Can't get enough! Looking forward to my next Samsung purchase which will be the Galaxy S4 or Note 2. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I originally bought the first galaxy tab and love it. But after a few years of use it was time for an upgrade. The Galaxy note 10.1 is perfect for me, I am a gadget geek and needed something to support my heavy use and it does all that plus more. I use it for games, productivity, reading magazines/books and to watch movies occasionally. This is perfect for all needs. Only downside is no flash, but I guess I can deal with that.

Nice tablet but kinda pricey and not liking the plastic back, should have gone with a metal backing like the TF201/TF700 and better glass.
