I recently replaced an 8 year old built in oven with the Kitchenaid Architect series II. The oven is now a centerpiece in our kitchen from a visual perspective and for meal preparation ease. The oven simply looks great and the sleek stainless appearance compliments our kitchen wonderfully. On the performance side, I cant say enough about how quickly and evenly it cooks. Meal preparation time has been cut in half in many instances and our food retains way more moisture and flavor. I will never go back to non convection cooking. The oven also has an amazing feature that has made cooking with convection very simple for me. It translates regular cooking time into convection cooking so that you do not have to worry about over cooking as you learn the new faster durations. I give this oven a 10/10 and look forward to many years of great cooking ahead!

Currently awaiting service for the worst problem yet - microwave fan turns on by itself with error codes on both the oven and microwave panels. In the two years I have had the unit, we have had four separate other service calls: convection fan loose, then convection motor failed, microwave oven did not perform self cooling function at install, magnetron failed, inverter failed, and now current problem which remains undiagnosed. The oven is also very slow to heat up. A survey of some other customer dissatisfaction sites reveals similar problems. We haven't tried the oven self-cleaning mode due to multiple reports of electronic failure, but maybe that would be one way to put it out of its misery. Trying to work with Sears through my 5 year Extended Protection Plan but they said I haven't had enough problems with it to qualify for replacement.

Beautiful and Bakes great!!

I bought this five months ago and I am enjoying it as much as I did the first week. It bakes evenly from pies to brownies. When the light is on, it so pretty to look at, too.
Good even heating
from Atlanta, GA
This came with a home purchase so I didn't do any research and select it. The convection baking setting is very helpful as you can cook at a lower temperature. Since the fan is circulating the air, the heat transfer is more effective. It has worked out fairly well as it provides good, even heat. The only issue is that it doesn't seem particularly speedy to pre-heat
Less than 2 year life

We purchased our house in April 2015. Based on paperwork left by previous owners, I believe this oven was installed in our home November 2014. It is now the first week of June 2016 and it hams been about a week since our oven would power on. We used it to prepare dinner one evening and turned it off. A little while later we noticed that the LCD clock on the oven wasn't lit. Nothing would turn on even after flipping the circuit breaker. From what I have been able to research online these ovens consistently blow fuses and then will not power up, especially if the self-clean feature is used. I was satisfied with this oven prior to this occurrence but did find the controls to be a little annoying due to lack of intuitiveness. I have never had an issue with any other oven that I have owned before and they were all much older. A quality (and expensive) product would not require service after less than two years of service. Cannot recommend.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I love my double oven but the inner glass was broken when we went to install it. Because we were doing a kitchen renovation and had purchased the appliancesabout 2 months prior to installation we were told they couldn't be sure if our installer did it or if it was broke in shipping. I had to buy a new interior glass... Works great now but not real happy with the glass situation and that it took a few days to get the piece

from NASHVILLE TN
EVERYONE IN OUR DEVELOPMENT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS OVEN, TAKES FOREVER TO PREHEAT
Thermal fuse failed on first oven cleaning cycle
This is such a poorly designed oven the thermal fuse failed on the first oven cleaning cycle. I went online to find out what had happened when the oven would not work and there are even YouTube videos of this issue it is so common!
This combo performs very well.
