I recently replaced an 8 year old built in oven with the Kitchenaid Architect series II. The oven is now a centerpiece in our kitchen from a visual perspective and for meal preparation ease. The oven simply looks great and the sleek stainless appearance compliments our kitchen wonderfully. On the performance side, I cant say enough about how quickly and evenly it cooks. Meal preparation time has been cut in half in many instances and our food retains way more moisture and flavor. I will never go back to non convection cooking. The oven also has an amazing feature that has made cooking with convection very simple for me. It translates regular cooking time into convection cooking so that you do not have to worry about over cooking as you learn the new faster durations. I give this oven a 10/10 and look forward to many years of great cooking ahead!

I make all our bread. The new oven temperature is not close to being even at all locations in the oven. The back of the oven browns and the front does not. I have to turn everything at least once to even come close to even baking. My wife makes cookies with the ones in the back over baked and under baked in the front. We were under the impression convection baking didn't cause that condition. I made dinner rolls in tins recently; some were dark brown while others were still white.

This oven is easy to use, has ample space inside, sleek look and blue interior. Nice buttons and convection feature.
Good even heating
from Atlanta, GA
This came with a home purchase so I didn't do any research and select it. The convection baking setting is very helpful as you can cook at a lower temperature. Since the fan is circulating the air, the heat transfer is more effective. It has worked out fairly well as it provides good, even heat. The only issue is that it doesn't seem particularly speedy to pre-heat
Thermal fuse failed on first oven cleaning cycle
This is such a poorly designed oven the thermal fuse failed on the first oven cleaning cycle. I went online to find out what had happened when the oven would not work and there are even YouTube videos of this issue it is so common!

We are new to convection ovens but have been very pleased with the performance of this oven. Cooking time is lower and my wife and I think it is very attractive. If I were going to make one improvement is to quiet the electronics fan that runs all the time the oven is used and quite some time after. I know this could be quieter.
Great looking product horrible usage

Purchase this product tuna half months ago while remodeling our kitchen and started two days before Thanksgiving use it the first time on Thanksgiving day cook the food perfectly thenThe stove went out while in cleaning mode and is completely locked up the door morning and opencall to have a service man show up under the warranty keep in mind we live in the greater Cincinnati area we were told that they only have two qualified technicians to come out and take a look at the stove, it would be 14 days before anybody would be able to come out and take a look at the problem. Price to me and quality product is very important but equally as important as service after the sale and I had to say just because that reason I have to rate this product very poorly

I am so happy that I bought this oven. Turkey was perfect, and the pies were fantastic. Don't be afraid to learn this oven, it is well worth the time. and for the first time ever, I was able to cook all the pies at one time. imagine 8 pies at one time. I felt like a pro!
Cooks great and easy to use

We have been using the oven about 2 months and really like it. The controls are easy to use and the settings are intuitive. The main convection fan is too loud and vibrates; repairs may be needed. Otherwise, great oven.
One big problem with this oven!
from Portlan, OR
I have been very happy with this oven so far. I bought it 6 months ago. However, the first time I ran the self clean, it died! It appears it blew a fuse. It also appears (from research on the internet) that this is a common problem and there is a class action suit against KitchenAid. I am very worried that this problem is going to keep happening and I am going to have to pay to continue to have the oven fixed or worse yet, have to buy a new oven. Buyer beware of this over-heating problem!!
