Whirlpool was recommended by numerous different retailers as the top of the line washer and dryer and American made. The washer and dryer combo is easy to use with very understandable dials (convenient features).. The sound level has been great. The performance has been fine, plus no musty odors. The washer and dryer are expensive, but compareable to competing brands top of the line. Don't see the energy savings, but assume it's much more efficient than older models.

This was the first washer and dryer set I've purchased in almost 20 year and I'm in love! I actually enjoy doing the laundry. I read the instructions, however, the washer is super easy to use. I'm so happy with my purchase.

Sometimes laundry machines can be intemidating. These machines have made it fun to experiement with the different settings and determine what works best at getting the clothes the cleanest and is the most efficient use of energy. I actually enjoy having lots of laundry!

I can't say enough about this product it is very easy to use and very efficient. I like it because it is extremely quiet.

I was skeptical of the claims regarding how much the 4.3 cu. ft. Duet® Steam Front Load Washer would hold and how my drying time would be reduced. I'm a believer now! Prior to purchasing the 4.3 cu. ft. Duet® Steam Front Load Washer my typical drying time was 60 - 70 minutes, towels would be more. Now my typical drying time is 47 minutes and I'll probably reduce that a bit more. Towels have become a typical load a thoroughly dry in 47 minutes. I used to wash jeans separately because they took so long to dry but now I just throw them in with my regular load. My electricity bills are declining and I expect they'll continue to decline.

Only gave a four in design because power on is so touch sensitive. It doesn't hurt anything, just shouldn't be that sensitive.

I loved the machine and all the features for about a week-in-a-half, then it wouldn't work for me or my family members and had to return it to the store for my money back!

I just go this one about a month ago so I am still exploring all the features. But one of them stood out and I have been using it all the time. The name of the Wash and Dry feature on this washer seems odd to me at first. Then I realized it goes into fan dry after the wash. My old washer got mildew after I washed a load with hot water and left the load in there too long. This fan dry feature eliminates the remaining moisture in the washer and prevent mildew. I only wish that there is a way to turn on the fan dry without going through the washing cycle.
