I already owned a Bodum French press and red Bodum Bistro burr coffee grinder. Wanted a safer, quicker, energy efficient way to heat water for my morning coffee to the optimum brewing temperature. This is it! A perfect color match in red. Best features: quick, and the fact that the pot lifts off the base for filling & pouring. The base heats via a center post, which allows the pot to rotate on the base. A simple thing, but makes it so much better ergonomically to be able to rotate the pot to the perfect angle before lifting it. Also, this allows the pot to be set down on a countertop immediately as its bottom remains cool. Auto shutoff at optimum temperature. Wouldn't change a thing.
