This oven take a very long time to pre-heat - much longer than our old oven did. I have put cookies into both top and bottom ovens at same temperature at the same time and one tray will be overcooked while the other tray is barely browned. Takes a very long time to cool down. The fan runs from the moment you turn the oven on until it is cooled down and with the long preheat and cooling period it runs a long time and it is not quiet.

Great looking machine. Digital precision. Constant running fan is unexpectedly noisy and apparently inefficient. All fumes gases created cooking burn on racks and walls so ovens require deliberate cleaning (not just wipe down) after every baking. Rack design incorporates needless complexity making cleaning nearly impossible.

We bought our house two years ago and needed to upgrade the appliances. First were the fridge and dishwasher, than the in counter range top. The last appliance was the double wall oven. The first three are all Kitchenaid products and we wanted Kitchenaid for the wall oven.Reviews for the Kitchenaid oven were so horrible I became confused as to what to purchase and could not come to a decision. The noise coming from the cooling fan seemed the biggest complaint. I ended up driving way out of my way to a big box store that had one wired for demo purposes. We turned it on, heard the fan and thought " What's the Big Deal". Came home and made the purchase with my local retailer. All modern ovens have a cooling fan and while I can hear this fan it does not bother us. It's certainly no louder than our Kitchenaid diswasher we bought. I was really expecting some awful obnoxious sound. It is not.We like the oven, controls are easy to use and understand and have no complaints about it's abilities. It looks great and matches our other Kitchenaid appliances.I'm glad I took the time to drive over the hill to the city to actually see and hear one in use. This is an honest review from a consumer who works very hard for his money and like all of you does not like to be unhappy with a major purpose. It was quite a long journey to make this purchase but we're satisfied with our decisions and our Kitchenaid appliances. Now longevity remains to be seen. Take care

My Kitchenaid Double Wall Oven is Great
from North Texas
I bought this double oven as part of a serious kitchen re-model. Didn't go wit convection, previous single oven the Kitchenaid replaced had it but I didn't use it. Everything I've made comes out great. Pre-heat is short, the door seals are first quality, and the control panel is simple and very functional. Glad I got it.
love the Blue interior

Beautiful and functional.

If you really want a double oven it's very hard to find one these days that isn't part microwave...or where one of the ovens is small. What I really wanted was two full-size ovens and this fits the bill it's very beautiful too and has a blue inside ... and functions perfectly.
Purchased about 6 months ago. It looks great in our new kitchen and works great. Easy to use and to clean. Love it!

It's better than the similar manufactured product it replace
from Denver, CO
We really like our new Kitchenaid 27" built in double ovens. We find that the new product does not outdo our old one in only 2 respects - the timer has a much more delicate sound when the timer is up; and - the unit is much louder in action than the ovens it replaced.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Noisy Fan and poor stainless steel.

Comments about KitchenAid 27" Stainless Steel Built-In Double Wall Oven:
This oven has a fan even though it is not a convection oven. The fan is loud and has an annoying pitch. Also the quality of the stainless steel finish does not measure up to my other stainless steel appliances.
